Clean, central, parking available. Would gladly come again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.  The family suite is clean.  The bunker beds are comfortable.

Great experience! Super clean, huge kitchen and lounge area in a great location. Parking was 30 feet away and reasonably priced. I can't wait to visit again!

Our 5 bed room had to go outside upstairs to get in and outside downstairs to get to kitchen and lounge areas.  Kitchen well stocked with 2 refrigerators.  No bathrooms downstairs.  Clean with the bare necessities. Good location,  easy to get to.

Lovely staff , great room , very clean and spotless

Very clean and comfortable. The common area has a great view. The location is perfect. The kitchen is outstanding. The price is unbeatable. Loved it. If you are on a budget, this is a perfect option

I stayed only 1 evening during a tour at Skye. The best part of the hostel is its location and scenic setting. You get to see an amazing view from the lounge. The rooms are  okay, clean. The bathroom is clean and has hot water. The upper bed I got did not have a charging point so I had to stay down at times to charge my phone - a bit inconvenient but not too much. Free tea / coffee is available. I booked a breakfast which was reasonable. Overall recommended if you are on budget and staying for 1/2 days

Good stay in a beautiful location

The Amazing Portree Hotel

Great location in the town with beautiful views. Really good value compared to other places with the same location. We had a quadruple family room with bathroom which had everything we needed. Yes it’s basic but perfectly adequate. Parking was over the road but very close and not an inconvenience at all. Really friendly staff!

Great location and views.

Stayed for a couple of nights in August in a family room. Superb location. Excellent staff. Very friendly. Like most places, they have only opened recently and getting up to speed, so no facilities open other than the room. Perhaps behind on this point compared to the independent hostels at time of writing. Difficult times, and most people just glad to stay and have a break.

If your staying in Skye on a budget you will not get better than the here!

Located in the beautiful town of Portree with straightforward access routes to the nearby landmarks..

Super comfy beds and on suite bathrooms although cupboard space is a little sparse for the number of bunkers..

Friendly, local staff who are more than happy to help and have lots of useful knowledge of the area.. 

A warm cosy indoor communal area provides plenty of seats for dining and socialising.. 

I was especially impressed with the kitchen as not only did it have an abundance of fridge space for everyone but it was thoroughly cleaned every day so you almost felt as if it was your own :)

Overall a wonderfully comfortable place to spend my time on the island.. and definitely my only choice should I be lucky enough to come back :)

Not just a hostel :)

This place was a great stay. Very comfortable, I did just stay one night but I had a good time there. It was a great location and was easy to get to from the bus stop, a few steps and stairs. Great staff, lovely little common room and deck area. Only problem would be that there should be more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels ect, since the only place to hang your towel was on the opposite side of the bathroom. 

Great place 

The hostel is at the best possible location: 1 minute from the main square where all the buses stop, but also in the first line on the coast. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is a really cosy lounge overlooking the bay.
Make sure to go up the little hill situated left of the hostel on the shore. It is a really nice place ( with cute rabbits running around) and the view is fantastic.

First class location

I like my comforts but was in skye for half marathon and bit sightseeing and wanted to keep cost low. Was with friend in 5 bed room for 3 nights. Firstly it's cheap to stay and staff v friendly. Showers on our floor clean and hot and kitchen huge and was surprised how everyone cleaned after as they went. It is a hostel so everything bit tired and dated but I can't grumble as slept well and possessions felt secure. I enjoyed cooking in kitchen as mainly walkers and runners and like minded outdoor people. Room can smell bit musty with all the trainers etc but apart from that I felt good value for a cheap base! Can't compare to other hostels as first one. Location is excellent

Pleasantly surprised

stayed here for the weekend 7-9th June with 11 other girls. we were all there to run the half marathon. The staff were very attentive and facilities were great.. I was slightly worried but the rooms and beds were clean, no noise, no queues for the common bathrooms. It was ideal. Great weekend spent here.

Booked early so we could have a private room.
First impressions were very positive when we pulled into the car park.
Views were stunning. Superb location in the centre of Portree.
Staff checking/ out /in are all lovely and very friendly.
Our room was at the back overlooking the road, which was not an issue at all.
Very clean room and bathroom.
The kitchen was very impressive, everything you need for a meal.
We sat eating overlooking the view and felt very content.
We slept really well, odd banging of doors but not enough to be a problem.
Would not hesitate to stay again at all and I 100% recommend.
