We cannot believe what a beautifully located guesthouse this is; fantastic views; a lovely host who thoroughly spoiled us and made us feel very welcome. We would definately return this place for anyone.

this is a charming dog-friendly b&b which feels more like staying with a family friend on the gorgeous, underdeveloped Black Isle. Don't, whatever you do, miss the dolphin watching at the nearby lighthouse and enjoy the breakfasts!

Stayed 1 night during business trip, colleague had a room too.  Clean friendly and comfortable bed.  Worth the visit just to meet her beautiful dog (optional greeting as owner does separate guests from Henry unless guest shows an interest).  Landlady was one of the nicest people you could meet, such a warm, friendly person who honestly just wants to do everything for you.  Breakfast was delicious, one of the best omelettes I have every tasted (definitely recommend if you are staying).  Only a 10 minute drive from Inverness town centre but beautiful surrounds and so quite at night.  I would definitely recommend.

Felt so welcome, just like a home from home

We stayed at the Culbin Crofthouse B&B for 1 night during a recent driving holiday around Scotland and would highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere quiet, comfortable, and welcoming to stay. The location is lovely, in the middle of the countryside; the room was clean & the bed very comfortable. Inverness and the small township of North Kessock are within a short drive for supplies and meals. The free wifi worked well and the included breakfast was great. Elizabeth, the lady who runs the B&B, is very welcoming and friendly. The only caution is that the bathroom facilities are shared which can be inconvenient.

This guesthouse is quite difficult to locate and I certainly wouldn't recommend trying in the dark ! My first impression was of a lovely bungalow with beautiful views. However,
this was short lived as on entering there was a distinct ' doggy ' smell. My room on the other hand had the most overpowering aroma of a sickly sweet pot-pouri, it was clean though and the bed was comfortable but the glaring omission was the lack of 
en-suite facility which meant a shared bathroom. Tea and coffee making facility was on a tray immediately outside my room which to me shows someone who really isn't trying too hard..... how difficult would it be to have this in your room ? Breakfast was ok but nothing really to shout about. The price though was way over the top for what was on offer at Culbin - £75 ! Way too expensive as there are many other far better and more reasonably priced B & B's in the Inverness area. As an indication, the following evening, I spent £55 on an absolutely spotless, en-suite twin room with great facilities and a fantastic bedroom- oh and also dog free and certainly not smelly !
Culbin is certainly NOT worth the price being charged.
