The White Horse Inn

The owner was so helpful and went above and beyond to get us to our event nearby. We had a very comfortable night; the rooms were clean with the usual facilities (tea and coffee) that you’d expect with bottled water and fresh milk provided in the fridge. The Inn is superbly located as just a few miles from Cambridge. A good choice of breakfast provided. Would definitely return.

Jeremy was an excellent host, and the food both at breakfast and in the evening was very high quality, and plenty of it too. A very pleasant stay for a short business trip.

Great stay with a lovely team, who couldn't do enough to help us on our stay. It's a great spot close to the city and one of the best beds weve ever slept on.

What a welcome, such friendly pleasant hosts.The room was clean, cosy and warm and just what we needed after an horrendous journey! Atmosphere pleasant and food freshly cooked. Thank you would most definitely stay here again, I’m not into big, bland corporate hotels.

We had lunch with family including two well behaved dogs in this lovely traditional pub with roaring log fires.  The Thai food was excellent and really good value.  Jeremy is an amazing landlord and the people who work there really look after their customers.  We will be back for Noodle Wednesday very soon, £20 for two meals - fantastic value for a mid-week treat.

Only stayed 1 night but enjoyed the hospitality

Ideal location for attending a wedding at Burwash Manor.

The genuinely warm welcome and the general cleanliness of our room. Lovely cooked breakfast with local i gredients.

A welcoming village inn. Kept to the highest standards possible. Good parking, large well maintained garden area with cosy interior. The accommodation nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was comfortable, slept soundly, bathroom again very clean, nice fluffy towels and plenty of soaps and shampoos. Chilled Fresh milk and bottled water was provided along with the usual teas and coffee. A perfect place to stay.

Lovely lunch in a dog and child friendly pub

We had been to Wimpole Hall with friends and called in when passing on the way home. What a lovely pub and owners. The food was lovely, all freshly cooked and tasty, the cod and chips were wonderful. The lady and chap there whom I’m assuming are the landlords, were so friendly, there was no rush, left us to chat , made sure we were ok and all was fine, lovely folks, thank you. This was our first time out with friends for over a year after my wife been very ill, lots to catch up and gossip, we were made to feel very welcome and wasn’t pushed out the door. 

I can recommend if your passing call in and have some lunch or dinner. The sticky toffee pudding is lovely. My friends even paid for lunch unbeknown to me! Thank you 

Popped in for late lunch 

We were driving around on a Sunday early afternoon, looking for a pub lunch when we spotted the White Horse Inn and thought we'd give it a go. It was a very good decision as the food was fine and the hospitality from the Portuguese landlord excellent. Our dogs were very content to sit quietly. A pleasant pub all round, well worth trying.

Friendly staff, decent food

We visited with friends for an evening meal. We all enjoyed the Portuguese menu, though there is a good selection of pub grub favourites as well. A good place for carnivores.. The Espadatas are really spectacular, both in looks and flavour. The meal was paced just right and we had an enjoyable evening. Thanks to the friendly hosts. We will be back soon. I have given four stars as the conservatory area was a little chilly on a cold night.

A gem in the Cambridgeshire countryside

Visited today with a toddler, all servers were welcoming and friendly and the roast beef and chicken we ordered were out in good time and delicious, as were the desserts. They were very friendly with our child and happy for us to walk him around in between courses. All in all a very pleasant experience and hope to visit again soon!
