Myself and a friend wanted a short trip away for some kid free time. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The room was spotless and lovely, it was a good size to. There was cakes for us and they where amazing. The shower was big and pressure was spot on. The bath was a really good size to. The view was amazing and there was a pony and sheep in a field that we could see out our window. The breakfast was lovely. Martine was amazing and nothing was ever to much. Highly recommend. The stay was a really good price.

Everything perfect. Every little detail has been taken care of. Spotlessly clean and the fluffiest whitest towels you’ve ever seen in the fabulous large bathroom. 
Huge bed with beautiful bedding. Breakfast was delicious and seems only best ingredients used. 
Warm welcome by attentive owner, she was only too happy to help with anything you needed. 
NOT A SINGLE THING COULD BE IMPROVED.

Nice B&B with some lovely views. The rooms abutt the owners accommodation and farm, that could be an issue for some, but not us. Good sized room, comfy bed. Bathroom was fitted really well, nice bath and shower. Really good breakfast. Friendly and helpful host. The road to the location is narrow and bumpy, take care

Perfect stay and perfect hosts. Kind, generous and quality throughout. Can't ask for more. The cooked breakfast was class. Everything was in good working order, the white linen was a delight and the food was fresh and the treats obviously home cooked. thank you.

A beautiful place to stay in a quiet peaceful village.  Very comfortable well presented rooms and excellent breakfasts. Martine is also a very good baker as proved by the cake and homemade treats.  Thank you so much and we hope to stay again in the future.

Thank you, Martine & Luke, for a lovely stay. On sampling your welcome cake then finding the chocolate cake in the room, our granddaughter announced she wanted to live here! Spotless rooms & delicious breakfasts were very much appreciated. Mincombe Barn is so peaceful. We will be back. 

My husband, my 85yr old mother and I all enjoyed a very warm welcome and comfortable stay at Mincombe Barn. Our rooms were appointed to a high standard and the bathrooms with modern deep baths and walk in showers were lovely to use and luxuriate in. It’s the little touches that made our visit feel special, the homemade biscuits in the tin in our room, the afternoon cake and without doubt our delicious breakfast made with eggs from Martine’s hens. 
The peace and quiet of the location, surrounded by beautiful countryside made for a fabulous 3 day break near to Sidmouth. 

What a great find !!

We booked on the day of arrival after a disappointing night in another B&B ! 
Martine Luke, the children and the family dog were all very friendly and welcoming on our arrival.

We arrived to find  milk and fresh bottled water in the fridge and two homemade cakes left in a little tin which were very welcoming on a our arrival after a long drive.

We stayed in the "Owl" room was was spotlessly clean and decorated and furnished to a very high standard especially the luxurious bathroom.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice and Martine's extra little touches like the  made home made cakes which were  left in the breakfast room in the afternoons  to the  homemade jams and marmalades  at breakfast were such a treat. 

Such a great relaxing stay we will definitely be back. Thank you Martine & family 

Fabulous property with 3 fabulously appointed rooms. Bathrooms perfect. Owners couldn't do enough for us - shortbread provided in our rooms every day, tea & coffee, fridge. Breakfast was in a separate room across the courtyard, which we were able to use at any time of the day. Breakfast was made to order so beautifully fresh - started with a fruit option then a cooked breakfast. Courtyard was available to sit in - lovely on a sunny day. Good location as near Sidmouth also local walks in the area. 

We stayed with our small dog for 3 nights between Xmas & New Year. The rooms are large  and luxurious with lovely touches such as homemade shortbread, bottled water and fresh milk in a mini fridge which was renewed each day, the bed was huge and very comfortable and there is underfloor heating with thermostat in the room so we were able to adjust the temperature to suit. Breakfast was served between 8.30&9.15 in the breakfast room with a log burner and a large window with a lovely countryside view, each afternoon you were welcome to help yourselves to homemade cake, the xmas cake was delicous as was the breakfast where there was plenty of choice and it was all local produce cooked to perfection. The owners are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, its clear that they take pride in ensuring you are happy and enjoy your stay with them, we felt truly spoilt.

Best B&B we have stayed in by far

This is a gorgeous B&B. A really lovely welcome from Martine and the dogs. Absolutely fabulous from the moment we arrived until we left. Perfect in every way. Room exceptional and the breakfast, homemade conserves, homemade cake every afternoon were scrummy! Fresh milk, bottled water and homemade  shortbread left every day in our room. Really cannot praise this little place enough. In a lovely setting in the middle of the countryside but within easy reach of Sidmouth and surrounding areas. Cannot recommend highly enough and already looking forward to returning when visiting this area. Thank you Martine and Luke….you are the perfect hosts.

Long weekend break to visit Sidmouth and The Donkey Sanctuary

We arrived at Minicombe Barns greeted by two friendly sheep and a couple of dogs behind gates but pleased to see us!

Our room was beyond expectations and we very quickly settled in to our large room with sofa and coffee table. Every night when we returned was a pleasure despite the wi-fi being virtually non existent - rather a relief to be honest! 

Breakfasts were delicious and the family are a delight.

When we had to leave we did feel rather bereft 🙁.

A very relaxing stay with a friendly informative family.

The most welcoming B&B, Martine and Luke have the most beautiful home. The converted stables are now luxury rooms with the most comfortable beds. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast is superb and Martine makes the most delicious cakes for your afternoon tea. Everything is of the finest quality and extremely tasteful. We had the most amazing relaxing stay and will certainly be back. If you want a really relaxing break in perfect accommodation this is the place to stay. Thankyou Martine and Luke, we will be back😊
