Hay Meadow Farm

We had a lovely family stay here over the Christmas season.
The cottage is spotless and the owners very kind and helpful.
Would highly recommend if you want a away from it all holiday. 
Excellent near by pubs are The Village Inn (3 miles a nice walk if you like that) and the Rydon Inn about a 15 minute drive.  Both had amazing food and service.

Just returned home from this Beautiful Farm Cottage. Feeling sad to leave. 

Duncan & Jane were lovely Hosts. Even looked after our naughty Patterdale Terrier when she escaped. Kept her safe.

The Cottage was Beautiful. 3 lovely comfy en-suite bedrooms. With lovely clean bedding. Big bathroom downstairs with a jacuzzi bath. Big kitchen where our party all spent a lot of time together. Lots of Books, Games and DVD's for rainy days.

JUST PERFECT. So 'Oldy Worldy' We will be returning again with Pleasure ❤️ Thank you again for the Awesome memories,

We visited this Stunning Cottage in September to escape the crazy of Newquay. We were not disappointed. Such a peaceful location and beautiful home. There was nothing to fault. The cottage was full of charm and character and had everything you needed. All of our family slept very well in the comfortable beds. Super happy with our break at Hay Meadow and would recommend to friends. Thank you 😊

Gorgeous cottage with lots of character, low ceilings in areas but you soon learnt to dodge. All part of the character. Stair banister rail stunning character made from drift wood. All rooms on suite so no fighting over bathrooms and a jacuzzi bath downstairs. The owners were very welcoming and full book with instructions on arrival. As well as lots of ideas of places to visit. Fresh milk in the fridge on arrival and the added dry herbs etc in the kitchen added to the homely feel for the week. We would happily book this cottage again as in the middle no where away from noise, surrounded by meadows with footpaths and woodland. 15min drive away there is a beautiful lake to do water sports on, we took our paddle boards. Closest beaches are 30min drive away at Bude. This is a hidden gem.

We were not let down in any aspect and found everything as seen in the pictures and described in the advertisement.It would have been a great stay but what made it truly exceptional was the warm hospitality of Jane, Duncan and their family (hosts at the property). We will definitely plan another trip soon.

Excellent breakfast with great choice cooked to perfection.
Scrambled eggs fresh from the farm became our favourite this visit.

I have loved coming to Hay Meadow for many years and trying out their newly available holiday cottage did not disappoint - like the rest of the farm accommodation everything has been done to such a high standard, a real luxury experience and with all of the attention to detail, natural eco friendly touches and homely feel that make it a really special place.  The farm is set in lovely countryside away from it all - a real rural escape.  Importantly - owners Duncan and Jane always go the extra mile to make their guests welcome - so highly recommended!!!

The property was pure chocolate box. The rooms were very spacious n homely. The Breakfast was so filling n amazing. I've been a chef all my life n the breakfast was the best I've ever tasted. Thank you Duncan you can certainly cook.

What a stunning location, beautiful BB. We have stayed Monday to Friday in the Orchid Room, we were treated like family. We felt very welcome breakfast where outstanding, my partner loved smoked salmon and  scrambled egg on toast. I lived on omelette all week. Thank you Duncan, Jane  and Sue for a lovely stay.

Our 5th visit to our special place in Devon

Having not had a day off since Christmas due to you know what i finaly had the opportunity to get away for a few days and as the uncertainty of travel abroad was still raging we decided to return to Devon and Haymeadow Farm 

This facility has undergone a make over and change of offer since our last visit , the cottage which had four bedrooms offered on a B&B Basis has now been updated and is offered as a three Bedroom Holiday rental, which takes up half of the building, 
The medieval Fire place, timber beams and a fantastic level of detail that was carried out in the restoration are now all yours to enjoy and appreciate during your stay

The kitchen has a large table and at one time we had seven people around it, its warm and cosy yet well fitted out with cupboards and Crockery, pots and pans , they have a fridge and a Freezer and will be buying another fridge so you can store more food or drinks , There is also a Dining area as well 
The bedrooms are all ensuite and nidely fitted out some witgh King size beds and there is a family room that will sleep 3 to 4 
The grounds of this organic Farm are open to wander through , the Grass is only cut once a year so there is a great diversity of wild life and in the evenings Barn Owls silently wing their way over the fields in search of Food. At Night the lack of any form of street lighting presents an awesome spectacle of stars right down to the Horizon and you can dicern the "cloudy" look that is the Milky Way by the naked eye.
In addition to the cottage there are now two Bed and Breakfast suites in a nearkly restiored Barn , these are supported by food cooked in the "canteen" well spaced out seating and the food is all sourced locally and there is plenty of it 

The location is perghaps 20 mins drive to the coast of North Cornwall and also well served if you wish to travel out and use the facility as a Base with both Dartmoor and Bodmin around half an Hours Drive (as you approach the farm there are spectacular views of Dartmoor to be seen)

Duncan and Jane, your hosts who have been here since the beginning and carried out the restoration work hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable, and are always around to ensure everything is ok, 

Ours was a return visit and we have been here quite a few times   although described as a farm , there are no animals , just acres of Grass, and a lot of peace and quiet supplimented by some really lovely food and great hospitality , well worth a visit and i understand they intend to stay open year round
