The Terrace Guest House

We have stayed in this Hotel several times over the last 25 years, the last time being about 10 years ago. This resent visit proved to be the best by far, lots of renovation to a very good standard. It is a classic Victorian Hotel with lots "of the time" features. We were in room number 7 which is on the top floor, so lots of stairs to climb as there was not a lift, a lift would have been totally out of character, so if you can't do the stairs book a ground floor room. The bed was comfortable, tea and coffee in the room, the view was ok and WiFi was there, The breakfast was good and nothing was too much trouble for Debi who managed the place. The location was within walking distance of all the facilities you would ever want to use - what more can I say, our next stay in Southend will be here. Parking is a bit of a pain but it's doable, you can park for free outside the hotel from 6pm to 9am so this is a plus. Thanks to the staff.
