As usual we received a warm welcome from the  staff on Réception, very cheerful. 
What a very pleasant surprise when we checked into our room. The decor has been updated and really looks great,along with new furnishings a massive improvement from our last stay before Christmas. The bathroom was so much nicer and more updated too. Great job done Travelodge.

Another trip to stay with family close by to this travelodge at Hickstead. The team are always so welcoming and efficient. As usual the room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The parking remains free and plenty of it. Lori the manager is a credit to the team and we are looking forward to returning later in the year and experience the hotel after its face left which we are told is to be at the end of March.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel friendly welcoming staff to assist you with anything you need morning noon or night especially Lorrie and Elisha. Hotel is in a great place just off of the A23 so very easy to get to where I needed to go. Facilities all in working order as expected. Will definitely book again

We were in a spot of bother this morning and Lori went over and above to help us. We will be eternally grateful. She was so calm, kind and helpful. Lori is an absolute credit to the company and restored my faith in human kindness. Well done Travelodge!

thank you for a lovely stay rooms clean and tidy staff friendly and pparkinf facilities good bathrooms clean and would definatly come back very quiet concidering it is  by a major road so got a ver nice sleep

 The Travelodge is situated behind a petrol station next to a Starbucks and Burger King. There is a Beefeater only 5 minutes drive away.  Helpful reception staff and clean rooms. Overall a pleasant stay. 

Nice warm welcome, clean room & free parking. Food options on site & local shop at near by garage. Was thankful for email from hotel before our arrival explaining everything and giving directions as our sat nav wanted to take somewhere else! 

This is the best one we have stay in all the staff ware so friendly and so helpful the rooms were vary clean and warm we will definitely be back  soon the car was a good size and the lady on the front desk was the so good at her job we had the best night sleep for a long time.

As on prior visits we were not disappointed with our stay at Hickstead Travelodge. The room was clean, tidy, spacious and warm on arrival. The staff are always pleasant and helpful which adds to the perfect stay. Free parking is an added extra along with the food outlets Burgerking and Starbucks.. The hotel is close to Brighton which what we like too. Thank you again to Lori and the team…see you again soon

Always Pleasent and quiet

This was our second visit to this hotel in 3 years and it has improved leaps and bounds. The room was relativly big enougth for two. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The reception area was cramped and dingy, in my opinion, but once passed that into the corridors things were much brighter.
My only gripe, is the lack of power sockets. There were only two in the room, for the TV and the Kettle. So no way of easly charging our two lap tops and two mobile phones.
Also, why cant the TV have Bluetooth so that I can listen to the TV whilst my wife rests on the bed?

Trip to visit Daughter in Brighton

My short stay after an overnight flight was very good. Large, quiet, and spotless bedroom on the first floor.
Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Good bath with mixer taps for shower. All 2 body wash dispensers full and working(There is a knack to get them to work, be gentle!) 
Receptionist very helpful.
I would have no hesitation using this establishment again.


Good place to stay  near Gatwick.

We booked here as it was local to our needs this weekend and it is also dog friendly. I called after the reservation was made requested that we were given a room as close to reception as possible as one of our dogs is elderly and has to go out more than once during the night. Our room was right next to reception and Rob who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. We needed to stay and extra night which was easily arranged. We found the bed comfortable and the room was spotless. We would come back with no hesitation :)

Helpful and friendly

Stayed here with my partner for a couple of nights, a stop off on a long journey. 
The hotel itself was lovely and clean, the staff beyond helpful. Chloe and Lori the manager certainly could not do enough for us, with their knowledge of the area and their happy demeanour it made our stay even better. 
The hotel is situated near a Burger King, Starbucks and a Waitrose but you can drive out further for other places should you need to. 
If we are down this way again we will definitely come back to Hickstead.
