The hotel is great for bike park wales. The staff and hotel were very mountain bike and mountain biker friendly.

The room was good with everything in place and a comfy bed.

The premier inn breakfast as normal was good.

Car parking was secure and within a few minutes of Bike park wales

Our go to place when visiting bike park, it’s warm, friendly, clean hotel, that allows bikes. No outdoor storage for the bikes but the carpark looks like it’s covered in cctv if I didn’t want to take it to the room which is good to know.   Welcomed by the lovely Marnie. Nothing is too much trouble, always tries her best to get us on the ground floor as the hotel does not have lifts, very friendly. As always forgot to book a table in the restaurant and Marnie managed to get us all in.amazing work ethic. Would say that the restaurant across the carpark could do with a refurb or even a lick of paint but we will be back in the summer see you soon. Comfy stay. thank you merthyr

I recommend this hotel in Merthyr Tydfil. Very good value and a relaxed stay. I would definitely stay here again and the table top restaurant and pub is very good value but make sure you book the restaurant or you will not get a table 

Perfect for a weekend break for exploring. Very close to the bike park and walking trails. We also managed to visit zip tower and the royal mint it’s close enough to everything yet in a quiet location so slept well. Very clean, lots of free parking, food options. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly.

We booked a night so we would be fresh for a days fun at bike park Wales . Sadly we arrived very late due to Friday night traffic the night staff were fantastic. They helped me with my bags and offered to help with our bikes Room spotless bed comfortable staff amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. In the morning we had a fantastic breakfast great food and again first class service. The staff are a credit to Premier In n  highly recommend staying here

Fabulous stay, what a find this hotel was...easy parking, warm and welcoming staff and super easy check in. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable.
Excellent breakfast, great value and a fantastic way to start the day.
Will be back again and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else !

Lovely 2 nights at the hotel. Friendly and kind staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was great. Kids received chocolates on Christmas Eve which they loved. One of the nicest Premier Inns we stayed in. 

Welcomed on arrival. Rooms tip top condition. Cooked Breakfast was great with the very helpful Liza.
Felt fully fueled for my day ahead. Great choice of evening meals. Made to feel welcome all the time

We needed somewhere to stay out of Cardiff Centre for 2 nights. Merthyr seemed the ideal choice. Close to the train station and not far from the main road to Cardiff.
Had a very comfortable stay and will definitely be returning.


Enjoyed a very pleasant couple of days here. The hotel has good sized and well specified rooms. The Meal Deal represents great value, taken in the separate restaurant Pentrebach House. A hearty breakfast served by Debra and the team a particular highlight!

The Premier Inn was fine - fairly quiet, which probably would have meant a good night's sleep if it wasn't so hot. The room was baking despite the window being open all day and although they provide a fan (essential really) it didn't do much to cool us off. Definitely needs an upgrade to get some air conditioning in.

Pretty standard Premier Inn but no aircon is a killer

Perfect location to the mountains. Had everything I could of wanted nearby from mountain warehouse, a quick drive away to the co-op which is a couple of 100 yards away. The room, staff and hotel were fantastic. Exactly what I wanted. The shower was the highlight which made the stay even better after a trip up pen y fan.  I'll be back in the summer. No question

Premier Inn  Merthyr Tydfil visit to Bike Park Wales 

Premier Inn is always good in the standard things. Good parking, Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower. Good breakfast. 
The Wifi was poor. It was okay (v slow) for messages emails and google searching. But it did not allow for streaming. The TV was poor with limited channels. We were unable to watch SkyGo or Netflix. 

Break in Brecon Beacons

Excellent accommodation!! - but lousy restaurant next door (Table Table). Don’t expect great things for your breakfast.

Great hotel for BPW

Although the bathroom was showing some wear and tear the rest of the room was ok. The lack of glasses in the bathroom and the few tea/coffee sachets seem to indicate they are trying to save pennies. 
Nothing but praise for all the staff. Helpful, friendly and generally nice people.
