My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Park Lodge B&B, it would have been a third night if it had been available. As already stated in a previous review a gem amongst gems, a home from home in days gone by, Superbly decorated and furnished with Jon your attentative and personable host adding to the enjoyment of your stay. Watch out for the friendly house cat when you leave as we found it on the back seat of the car as we pulled away. We look forward in returning to this popular B&B in the future.

My partner and I stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast for 1 night whilst in Grantham for a wedding and I could not of been happier with our stay. The house its self is very grand and I am very intrigued by its history. The whole house made me feel like I was at home. I would happily of stayed a few more nights and I am usually someone who dislikes staying away from home most of the time. The room that we stayed in was room 4 which had everything we needed and more and a very clean en suite which smelt wonderful in there! Every little thought was put in to the room. It was extremely clean and the linen smelt wonderful. Not starchy and rough like most places have their linen. The bed was very comfortable and what I loved the most was how quiet it was. My partner and I both said that we could imagine just sitting up in our room,window open and spend the afternoon reading a book. Breakfast was wonderful. Jon asked us to fill out a breakfast request the day we arrived for the next morning. I asked for cereal and my partner asked for a cooked breakfast. The breakfast was very impressive. Jon really put in a lot of effort to make sure the breakfast was superb. I had plenty of cereal to choose from and I often went back for some more (6 weetabix in total!!) 
The stay was fabulous and I can't thank Jon enough for offering us a relaxed,home from home. I'd happily travel back to Grantham just to stay here again!

Wow, what a fantastic place. From start to finish our overnight stay was amazing. We emailed prior to arriving to ask if there was any possibility of an early check in due to the fact that we were at a wedding. We received a call from Park Lodge to help us arrange this and were told that even if our room wasn’t ready we would have somewhere to freshen up. The room was very comfortable with lovely extra touches. The host was very personable and the breakfast was superb. Park lodge is immaculate and the decor is very homely. We would highly recommend a visit. 

Just wanted to say thank you Jon for a lovely stay at your quaint B&B. If you're staying in Grantham this is the place to stay. Myself and my friend stayed over for one night because we were going to see Nile Rogers & Chic at Belvoir Castle. Our room had everything you could wish for. You can see that a lot of care and attention to detail had been given to the room. The room was spotlessly clean and the finishing touches made it just perfect. Jon is a lovely guy and really helpful ... giving us a guide to restaurants and pubs and taxi advice. The breakfast the next morning was delicious.  If were ever back in Grantham Jon we will definitely be coming to stay at your Shabby Chic B&B it's a credit to you. Thanks again Julie and Maxine 

The  « real thing ». This is the idea of a typical B&B as we, foreigners like it: homely feeling, simplicity and good service. Good beds, nice coffee in the morning and a really pleasant owner.
