Its a Hidden Gem
First-class food, excellent service from Ash and the staff, quiet location
This was recommended by a friend, the food was excellent, Curries are amazing breakfast was one of the best I have had in a long time.
They also allow overnight parking if you are in a Camper van or motor home
We will return.

We stayed here for my partner's 30th the night before a blacksmithing experience at Old Field Forge. We had a lovely stay and timed it perfectly as Tuesday's current night was fantastic! All the staff were extremely friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was great with a lovely selection of continental options as well as a full English.

Enjoyed a fabulous chicken karai,  husband had the prawn one, extra hot. Ash the chef and owner is very friendly and extremely welcoming.  All the staff were wonderful.  Really enjoyed our visit. Thoroughly recommend

We visited Garway for a wedding and the team at the Garway Moon Inn couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating, we’re so grateful. The team were extra flexible with our non-standard timings throughout our stay. We booked all 3 rooms and brought my elderly grandmother - they helped with the stairs (even going as far as measuring to put in a handrail as they realised it was necessary) as well as cooking her an extra meal outside of their hours on a day the kitchen was closed! The rooms were stunning and very comfy, incredibly spacious and the view from the sun room is extra special. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Thank you Garway Moon team!

Unfortunately was only here for the weekend as we would have happily stayed a week. We stayed in The Sun room and it was wonderful. So clean. Comfy bed and what a view to wake up to across the green. After booking we were contacted to say that due to illness a cooked breakfast couldn't be provided but money was deducted off the bill, but cereals, yoghurts and fruit juice were still provided in our room. Would love to return. Thank you.

My husband and I have just spent the best 5 days at the Garway moon, can honestly say that it’s the most friendly and welcoming place we have stayed in. Ash the owner is a lovely chap, so helpful and a genuine nice guy, the locals are lovely and we were welcomed by them, and after only a couple of hours were chatting away and drinking with them for the night. We had a forge experience and Ash dropped us off some lovely lunch. We stayed in the globe room overlooking the green, was lovely.  We will definitely be back much love Gem and Dave x

We stopped at the Gateway Moon as my other half was doing the make a knife experience at Oldfield forge and we thought we would make a week end of it.

We stayed in The Sun room which was beautiful. We were met with a warm welcome and shown to our room. We had also booked for our evening meal, which was most welcome after a day in the forge. 

Everyone in the bar was very friendly and we met up with some fellow forgers. There were lots of well behaved dogs and children playing happily. The whole place had a wonderful relaxed atmosphere.

I had the steak pie which I must say is the best pie I have had in about 20 years. Huge chunks of meat in a delicious gravy. My other half had the burger which he also said was amazing. 

After a good night's sleep in our very comfortable bed and a lovely radix bath we went down to a beautifully cooked full English breakfast.

All in all a wonderful visit and we will be back, my other half is desperate to try the fishing nearby.

We stayed in the Sun room, it was lovely and spacious, very clean and had added extras like bottled water, radox bath salts. Honestly it was worth every penny and more. If it was the TV show Four in a Bed, we would have easily given £120 per night and probably more. The food was gorgeous. We stayed for tea and had steak which was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was equally as delicious and all of the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.  Even the local farmers engaged in conversation and it felt like we were part of the community.

We've just got back from our stay here and had to leave a review! We stayed the night before an experience at the forge and couldn't have asked for more while we were here. I just wished now we'd booked to stay longer!

The globe room/apartment has everything you need and more and is so comfortable. I'd left a note during booking that the trip was for my fiance's 30th but wasn't expecting the amazing extras that we were met with on arrival into the room. Was a really nice touch and was much appreciated!

We had dinner at the restaurant and had ribeye and rump which also did not disappoint! The breakfast was also really tasty and service throughout our stay was great. 

Would 100% recommend. (And will be recommending the trip as the forge is also a must!)

We had a night away for an experience day at the local forge, staying in the Globe apartment.
Arrived just in time for a drink before dinner. The food was lovely and there was certainly plenty of it. They served an excellent pint too.
Highly recommended.
