The Gantocks

Beautifully situated with views of Loch Linnhe, this was a nice place to explore the majestic Scottish highlands. Breakfast was perfect and a great way to start the day. Hosts were very welcoming with tea and Scottish whiskey and there was a large room with table and chairs in the front where guests could relax and enjoy the views.

My wife and I started our week in the Highlands with two nights at the Gantocks, a perfectly appointed B&B situated just across the road from Loch Linnhe, and easy walk along the Loch into Fort William.  Our room was beautiful and spacious with a lovely garden view. It had all the amenities we could need.  Allen was an exceptional host.  He is very knowledgeable about the area and helped us select the ideal hikes, some of which are known only to locals. Sandra clued is in in advance and was helpful in making dinner bookings, which we’ve only later discovered to be a necessity when traveling in the Highlands in the summer. I recommend The Gantocks without exception!

Really enjoyed our stay here! We were on a driving holiday in Scotland for 10 days going all over, the Gantocks was definitely a good find. Excellent location -over looking the loch and within walking distance to the town centre. The hosts were very welcoming and we felt at home. We went up Ben Nevis one day and was ask to give the host a call at the end of the day to ensure we made it back down safely...that was a nice touch. The breakfast....!!! Absolutely amazing, everything was home made & delicious!

My partner and I hadn’t booked anything and needed somewhere to stay. 
We found this place and lucky for us they had a cancellation. 
Sandra greeted us and made us feel right at home in our room. The room was super clean and spacious. The bed was enormous and we slept really well.
In the morning both Sandra & Allan served up the breakfast and we were amazed to have fresh warm home made vegan scones and a huge pot of tea and coffee with plant based milk. We then had a fruit compote that was really refreshing then we had mushrooms and vegetables cooked in a lovely sauce served with sourdough. Everything tasted great and the room was luxurious and just what we needed.
Cant wait to come back.

We spent a week in Scotland and this places was by far the best place we stayed.
If you are vegan or non vegan you will be well looked after.

First time to Scotland for my wife and I with our well traveled friends from Vancouver Canada. Our friend Jakki organized our stay at this exquisite B&B and Sandra and Allan could not have been more attentive and hospitable to our group of 6. The rooms with en-suites are well appointed while offering excellent privacy if you like. Beds and baths excellent. The breakfast was fabulous with a preorder of options the previous evening to personalize your morning experience. The home cooked food, attention to detail, settings, offerings and platings were 5 Star and thus the awards! You could not find a better place to stay.  Thanks to our hosts and if we are ever back would only stay there. Highly recommended but the only problem is that any future stays at other guest homes will be left wanting! 

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a really good time. Very warm welcome and a room which was very comfortable and had very high quality towels, toiletries etc.  Breakfast was excellent with home made breads, scones and oat cakes as well as lots of choice of dishes.  Overall a very good experience.  Someone gave. A review being very critical of the ‘fussiness’.  This is not a minimalist establishment but it is lovingly cared for the the owners who can provide themselves on running a fantastic b and b

The Gantocks Lovely B&B overlooking the Loch. Very nice room and bathroom, not as large as some. Excellent breakfast, well presented, wonderful selection of options with home made cakes and scones. Some road noise, but fine with windows closed. Ample parking. No guest lounge. Very friendly and obliging owners. Tea and home made cakes on arrival.
