Second stop on our NC500 trip. A little difficult to find at first but worth it. Great host, very clean room. Lovely breakfast and friendly chat with Elaine. Highly recommended and if in area would visit again. 

This was our third visit to Mavisburn as. we enjoy it so much. Set in a peaceful location in a forest but within easy reach of fort Augustus which has shops, pubs and restaurants. Elaine and John are great hosts with knowledge of the local area. Our room was spacious, with a comfy bed and a view of the lovely garden. We would recommend a stay here.

My friends and I stayed here for one night and could not fault the accommodation or the hosts. The B&B is off the beaten track a little but it was worth it. Very homely, clean and good sized bedrooms. A lot of little extras that make your stay all the better. Breakfast was made to order and the guests lounge looked over a lovely garden. The hosts could not be more friendly and helpful, they really made us feel welcome and it was like a home from home. Would totally recommend this B&B if you are staying in the area as it was also very reasonably prices. Keep up the good work! 

A very friendly, warm and clean B&B. Far enough out of Fort Augustus to be away from the crowds , but close enough to pop into for an evening meal ( we went to the Boathouse). Lovely breakfast, enough to last us all day!

This is our second stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast, and we would gladly come for a third time:-). Mavisburn is in a quiet, peaceful setting in a forest, our room was spacious with a very comfy bed, the bathroom included a bath and lovely hot shower, everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast has a varied menu and is well cooked and presented. John and Elaine are the perfect hosts, friendly and have a good knowledge of places to visit. We would highly recommend a stay here and thank Elaine, John and Saffy the dog, for making our stay a great one, with some fantastic memories.

Very lovely hosts made sure you had everything you needed. lovely room comfortable bed and very clean a very nice bathroom with separate shower . A excellent breakfast everything you want . A little bit out of town but a very nice garden and views .

We as a couple stayed here for one night in June 2018 and felt very welcomed and comfortable. We announced our time of arrival per E-Mail and Elaine answered right away. She welcomed us warmly and made us feel like we were visiting family. This is really the best feeling you can get on vacation.
As we were the only guests this night, Elaine offered us a free upgrade to the bigger room, which was very nice. The rooms have modern country-house like interior, the bathrooms are up-to-date. A hairdryer is available, there is a kettle in the room with teabags, coffee and cookies and the bath offers a nice vanity set. We were positively surprised by this, as this is more hotel-like standard.
There is a living room with an open fireplace (if I remember correctly), where also the breakfast is served. Breakfast was a delicious scottish fully cooked one which we enjoyed very much.
Elaine was so kind to give us recommendations on restaurants and a map of Fort Augustus. The B&B is a little remote, but we loved the quietness in this little forest. You can reach Fort Augustus in less than 5 minutes by car. 
We were sad that we had to leave after just one night and will definitely stay longer, if we come back to Scotland.
