Avalon Guest House

Our second stay within a month and definitely worth the four hour drive. First stay was in the three person family room with our 12year old son, for one night, there was more than enough room for us for the night. He loved skimming stones on the beach. Second stay was with another couple to celebrate our anniversary. We had the largest room this time and it was just as lovely as the other. Stunning setting, stones throw from the beach. The mini fridge in the room was a nice touch and perfect to chill a bottle of wine to enjoy in the evening, sat on the patio. The owners are the friendliest, most accommodating hosts I think I've come across in a B&B, nothing was too much trouble. The men in our party hired the kayaks available and went out round the coast, which they said was great fun. Would, most definitely return if we could but gutted to hear that they have sold up and are retiring and the new owners are selfishly keeping the Avalon all to themselves!! (That was a joke) but not the gutted bit. I hope they have a long and very happy retirement. Thank you so much for two lovely stays x
