Here to meet our mates booked in a reception early check the girls on reception were brilliant so welcoming never been to truro great great start to our trip they advised us of things to do in local area room was spotless 
We got early check in but rooms not ready but this was no problem the lady at reception Katie I think said she will sort and as soon as ready she came to find us to say there ready great customer service

The hotel was huge on a big site. They informed me that there was some building going on and expected lots of noise but there wasn't any. The rooms are comfortable, with friendly staff who are very helpful if you have any issues or concerns.

The rooms are nicely presented for visitors, adequate facilities of tea, coffee and and sugar. Along with plenty of plugs so you don't have the need to switch appliances over to use them which is great. 

The bed was nice and high very comfortable to sleep on. In fact the only thing that let things down was the fact they only gave you two pillows which were very flat. But as the bed was very relaxing I fell asleep immediately when I sat on the bed  my eyes closed and and I woke up at 7 am.

The food was very nice to think the bacon wasn't very crispy it was delicious with some baked beans and hash browns and a yogurt and coffee. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable. I would visit again if in that area next time.

From my greeting on arrival to food in the restaurant to my departure I received first class service. Martin on front desk could not be more helpful. He made sure that my stay was trouble free!

Carnon Downs has become my regular when I'm down in deepest, darkest Cornwall. Always a great welcome from the reception team. Clean rooms & convenient Beefeater restaurant opposite with a covered walkway. Nothing is too much trouble for staff here. Great PI.


The premier inn is brilliant. WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER SERVED. BUT BUT BUT,  The Beefeater was the worst we have experienced. First of all the starters were not available but there was no indication before we ordered of that fact. We had steaks, or should we say one o f the party was forced into having steak because nothing else that could be eaten was available. We decided to abandon our stay at Truro. We were booked for three nights, but went further west. May we say that the Premier Inn staff were brilliant and could not have been more sympathetic. Why do Whitbread not have the same standards in their restaurants as they do in the accompanying accommodation?
 I am not usually a person who will so vehemently complain but Beefeater standards are not what they used  be if Truro is to be a standard.

Perfect bed, perfect staff, perfect cleaning, perfect (large) bathroom. Even the heating system and aircon was great and easy to work. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I was so comfortable in bed I skipped breakfast.

Georgina and her colleagues (Karen, Tracy, Elisha - sorry I didn't manage to get everyone's names) are amazing!! So so so friendly, lovely, happy, kind and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble, and I can't praise them enough! The hotel is comfortable, clean, and warm, with plenty of free parking. Great breakfast, hot buffet and lots of choice. But the team really made my stay - thank you so much for everything! I'm looking forward to coming back to stay again soon :) Thank you!!

Room was absolutely spotless on arrival, not a spec of dust to be found. The bed was really comfy and the duvet was warm and cozy. Wifi was pretty cheap for a week of access. Lots of plug sockets, and staff were really friendly and happy. 5/5 will be staying here when I visit Truro again.

The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The beds are excellent. What really made our stay was the lady on reception, called Georgina M. She couldn’t have been more helpful and was so lovely to my daughters. My 10 year old wants to come back just to see Georgina! 

Emily on reception was amazing. I made two mistakes with my booking and she sorted everything out with a smaile. All the staff were the cleaning reception and restaurant team. We were so grateful for their time care and friendly nature.

Outstanding staff and a great, comfortable and enjoyable stay!

A decent hotel overall. One notable blemish - while the standard WiFi "could not connect", the "ultimate" WiFi  remained miraculously available at £5 per 24 hours. Highly dishonest and disrespectful towards the customers, if intentional.

Only the "ultimate" WiFi available - bad luck or a cunning trick?

Would of been 5 star review can’t fault hotel, however the beefeater food wise was not great, evening staff seemed like they couldn’t be bothered, breakfast in the morning was better although could be because it is self service.
