The Anchorage

We arrived on bikes in mid -afternoon to this really terrific B and B. The bikes were kept in a safe and dry area. As there was the possibility of a noisy night due to a neighbours family party, Janice very kindly gave us an option to the room we'd originally chosen. Tough decision as both rooms were so nicely decorated, but we opted for the quieter room and never heard any outside noise at all. Eyemouth is a cute town built on a hill, and we really enjoyed walking the short few blocks to the water and around the shops there. As we had some serious hills to bike the next day, I chose to forgo the cooked breakfast, but my husband asked if oatmeal could be a breakfast option even though it wasn't on the menu and Janice was eager to oblige. It was truly delicious! My absolute favourite part of the breakfast however was the fresh fruit! It was the only time on our entire bike trip that we'd been served such a wonderful offering. This is a B and B you will be glad you stopped at.
