This B&B is a gem in Ely. Dawn the owner could not do enough for us. The room was very clean and tidy, It looked out onto the garden and you watch the birds, rabbits and the foxes. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the poached eggs were perfect. There was yogurt, fresh fruit and cereal as well as the superb cooked English breakfast. The B&B is local to the cathedral, Oliver Cromwell's house and river walks. There is plenty of parking on the property.

Spent a couple of days at this B&B.. Dawn the owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. Felt at home with her at breakfast, very accommodating with what you required.. Will definitely book there again, when visiting Ely next!!

Just spent 3 nights here with a true d. A lovely welcome given by Dawn. The rooms were lovely. All the little touches were very nice and appreciated. Room very comfortable and warm.  Breakfast was super with plenty of choice.  Dawn is very knowledgeable about the area which was a great help.  Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

I stayed one night for a business trip and Baileys at Springfields met all my requirements. In terms of price / quality, this is perfect. The hostess is very friendly, the place is quiet despite the location just right to A10. I strongly recommend Baileys at Springfields. Again thank you very much Dawn for your welcome. 

nice place..clean and tidy room......stayed whilst visiting Newmarket and Ely...near a busy road but still quiet in the Bungalow..Friendly Landlady who was helpful. Breakfast was ok as well with choices

Friendly and Welcoming B&B

I have left this review til now (visited in Aug 2019) because I wanted to try other accommodations to make sure I’m not complaining unnecessarily. It’s certainly not  a 5 star hotel and I’m really surprised at other ‘good’ reviews. Our room was pink chintz, old, dusty and smelly. Dawn was a nice lady but we were a bit put out when she showed us to our room and had a list of ‘to do’ repairs. Apparently the glass shelf in the bathroom had only just broken, it was hanging right down and was awaiting repair and we considered it quite dangerous if it was to fall on you! Can not believe it was left like it. The small en suite was carpeted and needed a thorough clean. I had to use baby wipes to clean the loo and sink, it actually made me feel physically sick, and the smell of dampness, was it wee? was overwhelming! The shower cubicle has seen better days, very stained. I couldn’t wait to get home to have a clean shower. The bed was hard and didn’t seem like a proper double size. Not the best night’s sleep. 
Breakfast was ok and luckily the couple we shared the table with were friendly or it could have been uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend and at £95 for the night, never again.

Ok if you like chintz, dust and damp smell

Firstly this B&B is on a really busy road, set back with no illuminated sign - arriving in the dark it took several attempts to find the place - when we arrived and I mentioned that it would be helpful for the sign to be lit the owner she said "well you should pay more attention".  We was one of two couples who had booked through booking.com and once shown to our room we were absolutely amazed at who had put good reviews on trip advisor???  The room we was given was in a 'pink' theme, with bows, ribbons, ornaments, and enough chintz to choke on.. however on closer inspection the room was covered in dust, with tea stains all over the dressing table front, marked bedding and sheets, and to my absolute horror a basket of used/shared toiletries on the floor next to the toilet.  The mirror and sink was dirty and I didn't even want to look in the shower.  Overall the room was appalling.  Our friends, whilst being shown their room were given two colour-coded keys; one for the room door and one for the outside door.. when our friend mentioned the colour coded key, he joked saying 'well if one doesn't work the other will!' at this point the owner stated how it would cost £80 to call out a locksmith! Our friends room represented a chapel of rest with dusty drapes over their bed and side unit - but again with a think layer of dust everywhere.  For £85 per night, this accommodation is far from acceptable and looking back on reviews made in 2014 it seems nothing has changed.. even the strange notes from 'ex-guests' are still left in the rooms - just odd.  On challenging the owner regarding the state of the rooms, her reply wasn't 'oh my goodness I'm so sorry, please show me' it was "so what do you want to do...?"  my reply was "go home" to which she replied "oh, okay then".  Disgraceful, unprofessional and rude.
