This is perfect for people who are looking for safe, comfortable, and affordable lodging in the Edinburgh area. I stayed in a small single room with a twin bed. The rooms are on the small side, but since I was out and about in Edinburgh, I didn't spend much time in the room to be bothered by it. I had a bathroom to myself, although it was across the hall from my room. That was a little inconvenient at first, but honestly, not a big problem, plus it was worth it to not have to share a bathroom. The owners were very friendly and took the time to show me everything I might need to know in order to be comfortable. While the rooms are small, I found the bed to be very comfortable, and my bed was made, along with my bathroom cleaned every single day. They offer breakfast there, but I didn't stop to eat while I was staying there. However, they left breakfast bars and fresh fruit in my room every day, which I found to be so thoughtful! I highly recommend staying here -- while it may seem out of the way, especially if you are interested in the main part of the city, access via bus was very convenient. There is literally a bus stop about 20 feet outside the front door, and both the 7 and 14 buses take you directly to North Bridge (likewise, from North Bridge, and several other centrailized locations, you can hop on the 7 or 14 buses right back to a stop on the other side of the street). It was about a 20 minute ride into the city center. The owners also offer a lot of tourist information, if needed -- they've really done everything they can to make sure that your needs as a guest are taken care of. I highly recommend this guest house!
