Went with family for Sunday lunch
Despite being busy the service was amazing and the staff were very polite and helpful.

The food arrived swiftly and was delicious.

Even a rude and disrespectful family didn’t manage to spoil the evening with their unreasonable behaviour.

I will definitely come again.

Called in today 5 of us, lovely pub, had starters and roast beef, one had pie, the Yorkshire puds where enormous and an excellent selection of vegetables, the beef melted in your mouth and the prices was so reasonable. Will definitely go again.

Not booked, just walked in today and welcomed by staff. Allocated table in bar area. Ordered Sunday lunch - great choice. When food arrived - portions were great but not too much, extremely well presented and hot. Could not fault this meal today. Would definitely recommend and return.

Absolutely fantastic pub. Service with the most genuine feeling. Great food. Land lady is the most pleasant person you will meet that day, staff not far behind. Pub has an old fashioned feel, with a few tastefully added modern accessories. Love it

Gorgeous country pub in Ashbourne with lovely staff and atmosphere. Stopped for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed - lots of choice and plenty of extras. Excellent value for money, definitely didn’t leave feeling hungry!

Came early Sunday afternoon for a beef roast dinner. Danni and charmaine were very welcoming and accommodating. The roast dinner was extremely tasty and there was not one bit of food left on the plate. Great portion size. The chef dale did the best sunday ive tasted in a long time.

Don't usually write a review but have to say my experience at the yew tree lodge was brilliant the lady that runs the lodge was lovely and very helpful I phoned the day before and asked for my two rooms to be next to each other in which she did for us with no hesitation at all.

Also when we arrived she made us very welcome and was very friendly. 

The rooms were very clean and spacey and the beds were very comfortable. 
The breakfast was lovely too.

We stayed for Alton towers the journey was only about 15-20 minutes away which was very pleasant. 
We also went to the pictures at derby which was only about 10-15 minutes away too and lots of restaurants to eat at too.

Stayed here overnight while visiting alton towers with a couple of mates. Fairly basic hotel but really great friendly staff. Room was nice and clean and breakfast was good in the morning. Decent little pub to relax in the evening and was perfect for what we wanted

Visited here a few weeks back for Sunday lunch. Staff were lovely and so was the beef dinner. Huge Yorkshire puds, and beautifully cooked vegetables. Hubby said he could have eaten more, and was still hungry, but I was nicely full. Very good price at under £11 per person.

Sunday roast is incredible

Great overnight stay

The bathroom smelt of sewage, the bathroom light did not work, there was water marks all up the walls and paint missing. The bed was uncomfortable and it felt like a spring in my back most of the night. The floor felt dirty to the point I couldn't walk without shoes on. 

The only good point was the staff were friendly and welcoming
