When luxury and understated style meet.

Beautiful in every aspect.

Attentive service, beautiful food, splendid bedrooms, spectacular grounds, amazing spa and everything you need for a relaxing stay.

I could go on. 

Will definitely return for another stay.

An excellent hotel and the staff were also excellent and very helpful. Spa & pool also very good. Junior suite was great in the main house. the main restaurant  Hywel Jones was superb and excellent for vegetarians. The wall garden restaurant a superb breakfast each morning and the staff in both restaurants very good.

We traveled with a total of 6 family members and stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage for 5 nights. The property is absolutely beautiful. The grounds and gardens are a real highlight. We had great experience in both restaurants. Loved the one hour private horseback riding excursion - they do a great job of catering to all levels. The archery lesson was also a hit.

One word of caution - there is no air conditioning in the cottages. With a heat wave while we were there, it was quite hot at night - especially for my elderly in laws who struggled with the heat. The resort provides bedroom fans but even with the windows open, the rooms did get stuffy.

We had dinner at the Walled Garden, Lucknam Hotel and it was a great experience. The restaurant is within the beautiful grounds and parking is plentiful. The restaurant's ambience and décor are lovely. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Good choice of food on the menu and reasonably priced. Afterwards we went to the hotel and had a look around. Robert was so kind to offer to drive us around to we could see the stunning surroundings. We have now planned to stay here next year.

The brasserie’s outdoor seating area was perfect. An attractive weatherproof cover with plenty of heaters and comfortable seating. 
Excellent food, great service. The staff were so kind accommodating our family within covid rules to celebrate my mother’s 80th. 
I have never been disappointed at Lucknam Park. 

This is one of our favourite hotels now.  Had a cheeky little 3 night stay here and we not disappointed the location is just fab and only 20 minutes from BATH which we love.  Easy to travel around and weather was beautiful.  Can highly recommend this hotel.

Where do I start?  Probably with the good welcome and Covid safety that was in place.  The Sunday lunch in The Brasserie was wonderful.  We both had the pork terrine, followed by the slow cooked roast beef (there was a very good selection of vegetables and generous portions) and then we couldn’t resist the chocolate tart which was made with good quality chocolate.  We didn’t need anything else to eat for the rest of the day. It’s been a while since we last visited and we certainly won’t be leaving it so long before we come again.   Thank you.

This place is really special, from the moment you arrive up the never ending drive way, to the greeting by the wonderful Daisy, I really can’t fault this hotel. A summary; 

The spa, absolute bliss, outdoor hot tub is magical. 

The food is incredible, both restaurants are top class.

The staff, super friendly and helpful. Every single one. 

The grounds, stunning, lovely long walks on your door step. 

The room, heaven, we had a grand master suite and was perfect, huge bathroom! Open fire a highlight!

Firstly: thank you Lucknam Park for an incredible trip!

I took my (now!) fiancé here for four nights this December, as a belated birthday present but with the intention of proposing there. From start to finish, my interaction with every one of the Lucknam Park team was immaculate.

I won't dwell on it because it's evident in the photos: this hotel is drop-dead gorgeous and absolutely takes your breath away in person. The interior décor is fabulous and we were able to grab comfy chairs by a roaring fire whenever we wanted. It was a lovely place to sit and relax while sipping a glass of wine and admiring the grounds outside. My words can't do it justice. The pictures only under-sell it, if anything!

We had a Manor Room and were given champagne on arrival.  The room was  much larger than I'd expected and had a beautiful en suite bathroom with heated flooring and premium Elemis toiletries. Amidst the Covid situation we had to book in our preferred time for room cleaning each day, but if anything this is a convenience! Despite the classic (and beautfiul) decor, the room was furnished with high end modern appliances throughout, including a huge TV (60"?!), Nespresso machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, trouser press etc...anything you could want. The bed was easily a Super King size, we think an American sized Super King in fact, and VERY comfy!

Even though we went in Winter, the hotel was warm throughout and certainly didn't require even a jumper to feel comfortable. The hotel has LP team keeping a watchful eye, and whenever you're hoping for service, somehow it's already arrived! This was also the case during the festive afternoon tea we had in the main drawing room, which felt like a bit of a steal for £35 all things considered.

We ate at the brasserie twice and it was very nice on both occasions. The staff were once again fantastic, and the food was delicious. We also ate at the Michelin-starred restaurant on-site on one evening and were totally blown away. I'm pescatarian and my fiancé is vegetarian: she had the vegetarian tasting menu as it came, and I subbed a couple of courses for the fish (the seabass was SO good!). We had high expectations for this but honestly, it blew right through those! Lastly, breakfast is served in the same setting as Restaurant Hywel Jones. It's an extravagant service with an incredible menu. As people who don't eat meat, we were beyond impressed with the options and quality of everything. My fiancé will be craving their hollandaise sauce for years to come!

We also used the on-site spa. We'd intended to go once, but went two days in a row because it was so beautiful. We found it very easy to book, and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves on both occasions.

My review's dragging on so I'll stop, but I really can't heap enough praise onto this hotel. It's a stunning venue, but what elevates it to the highest level is the team. Literally every single interaction we had was great. I feel like we're doing others a disservice by not mentioning everyone, but I particularly want to point out Eloise and Rogan, who gave us impeccable service throughout and quite honestly made us feel like royalty! 

My fiance and I did a photoshoot after the proposal. Actually, immediately after this happened the LP team came outside to give us complementary champagne--a very nice touch indeed! I will leave this review with a couple of photos. I could talk about it forever. If you're considering Lucknam Park and see this review, please take this advice and just book it. There is no way you could ever regret it.

This was our 3rd visit to LP and in a world filled with C-19 anxiety the hotel remains an oasis of calm, tranquility and luxury. With strict mask and social distancing rules we felt both safe and totally relaxed. Our beautiful bedroom was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble for the super-attentive staff. The extensive grounds, with scattered bronzes, were a delight despite the weather and the Christmas decorations & garlands were stunning. We ate from the seasonal tasting menu in RHJ and the food was truly superb - each course a gem and perfectly weighted such that the 8 courses flowed effortlessly (too often tasting menus feel like an endurance test!). The whole team work so hard behind the scenes to deliver such a serene and relaxing experience for the guests. A real joy and our new “go to” place for a luxury weekend trip.

Wonderful Country Hotel

A great resort for families

Amazing place

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary - whilst the Spa and the team who manage it were 5. Star the same can’t be said for some of the other areas.  

A tall beared gentlemen wearing glasses who we presumed was one of the managers for the “Walled Restaurant” was nothing short of rude in his approach to not only us but some of the other customers - on entering the restaurant one of his colleagues had told us to sit along the side wall where tables were available. 

After taking our seats this gentleman came over to us and told us to move - despite us being advised to sit here.  

We had absolutely no issues with being asked to move but his tone and rudeness was not acceptable - something my wife wanted to follow up on at the time but I stopped her from doing so.  This was Monday morning (14th July) albeit the gentleman who seated us the following morning was completely different - very courteous and attentive.  

Maybe some retraining is required. 

Overall we had a pleasant stay - with the Spa being the standout part of the stay. 

Our room was a little tired and very stuffy - not helped by the recent warmer weather- the fan we had been given to help wasn’t really up to the job. 

The additional charges are also a watch out when checking out - something we missed and would’ve challenged if I’d been a little bit more particular when paying - seems a little excessive and not warranted.  

Overall a nice hotel in beautiful grounds - The hotel falls short of a 5 star rating in our opinion and doesn’t warrant the 5 star prices that are charged.   

However the Spa is well worth a visit

We would probably go back to the Spa but not for the hotel
