Stayed for 2 nights in the glamping pod and loved it, lovely and warm, very clean, comfy bed, everything you could need was provided like toilet roll, dressing gowns, soap, hairdryer, and the wood fired hot tub was Devine after a day walking, would definitely recommend a will be returning

Stayed in this Caravan and Motorhome Certified Location for 7 soggy nights, with our dog, in our VW T5 campervan.
Absolutely loved it. The campervan didn't move, except to drop my daughter off at Windermere railway station. 
There were numerous lovely walks direct from the site which has direct access onto the old railway track bridleway.
There is an excellent route up the Old Man of Coniston and the surrounding fells, several ways to join the path along Coniston Water and Coniston Village is only 1 hour's easy walk away along the Old Railway Line route. 
The Wilson Arms opposite has amazing food, a deli and is definitely worth visiting.
Coniston is packed full of delightful shops, cafes, pubs and has a well stocked little supermarket with a fabulous butchers at the back.
We were remote working from the van. Vodafone 4G speeds over 20MB download and 10 MB upload, which was enough for normal cloud based work and also coped with a zoom based networking meeting and fine for streaming Amazon Prime Video in the evening. O2 signal was slightly less but still fine for cloud based working.

Wonderful stay in a very comfortable room. Spotless. Would deffo visit again. Lots of places to visit round about. 14th century coaching inn which the present hosts have really worked  hard on to improve, whilst keeping its character. Well worth a stay. Welcoming and obliging hosts which make it an ideal place to stay to explore the local area.

We stayed here after a very last minute decision to stay over in the lakes for an extra night.  Many places have a minimum stay of 2 nights, so when we came across here (although its quite a drive out) we were very happy. Upon arrival itvwas quite late (9pm) the owner/manager was extremely accomodating and very helpful. The room was lovely, very spacious, very clean and catered for all 6 of us. The room had a fridge, hairdryer and provided fresh towels and soap. Tje breakfast was lovely, and again they couldn't be more helpful ensuring we had plenty to eat. Unfortunately we weren't blessed with the weather so didnt get to explore the lovely walks we gad been told about, but we will definitely be back and would highly recommend. Thankyou for such a pleasant stay at such short notice. 

Absolutely amazing little spot. Bit further out of Coniston but a nice walk down the old railway path and about £60 cheaper than the tired places in the centre. 

The host Mark is a kind soul who’s run off his feet so make sure you ring up to book as emails may get missed. 

The room was clean and modern within the old building where you have to stoop or curse! 

The breakfast was immense. Fresh ingredients and loads of food. All prepared fresh by Mark. Poached eggs and bangers were spot on. 

Aside from the BNB he has some camping spots and a new lodge with hot tub in the back which seems very popular. 

This is a real gem near Coniston and a great base for the Old Man of coniston which we did. Lovely hot powerful shower afterwards was a winner. 

Mark hasn’t quite opened the bar up yet as he is running this place single-handedly. COVID hasn’t been kind to small places like this and he just hasn’t the time. The place has bags of character and loads or outside space which you can utilise nonetheless. 

We will be back. Undoubtedly.

We've just stayed a couple of nights here. The bar and restaurant have not reopened yet but there is a pub/ restaurant across the road, so it's like a B&B. Mark is a great host and makes a great full cooked breakfast. Nice hot shower, fresh clean towels and a comfy bed. Can't ask for any more for the money. Plenty of free parking on site.

Stayed at the Church House Inn after looking for accommodation near Coniston. Located in Torver, a short drive from Coniston, it has all the benefits, but a slightly quieter area, with a large car park. There is a lovely walk down to Coniston Lake and another pub, opposite which provides good but basic food.

Our room, at the back of the Inn, was quiet and clean with a good en-suite shower room.

The cooked Full English Breakfast was delicious, and from booking to service, Amy could not have done more for us.

Unfortunately, the bar is closed this season, but this didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

This was a two night night stay in this lovely historic coaching inn.
From entering Church house to leaving the hospitality was outstanding without being overbearing. 
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with nice toiletries, shower gels, that sort of thing.
There was plenty of options for breakfast and a good choice from the menu and specials board for lunch and dinner. 
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to visit again

We called in to this pub after a couple of hours walk we only had drinks but staff were excellent the pub was good a bit small but lots of room outside some others around us were having meals which didn't seem to take long to come out nice little pub 

Super accommodation for families and friends. We had a family room for four friends for a walking weekend. It was great value. The staff were really friendly and they did good pub grub. Catered well for gluten free.

Terrific Motorhome CL with fabulous walks

Spot on.

Short notice midweek stay.

We visited Church House for two overnights with breakfast. Mark our host was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is good with plenty of toast if required to keep hunger away. Outside is the facility for camping and parking mobile homes. Church House itself is in the process of being reorganized and the entrance is somewhat cluttered; there is no bar and no evening meals.  Our room was fine, tea and coffee making facilities and TV .There is a pub across the road which is being refurbished hence food is served undercover outside.
The friendly host and lovely scenery make Church House worth a visit. It gives excellent access to Torver and Coniston and Windermere and Ambleside. Good spot for walking and taking the children and dog.

Very friendly little campsite - we chose it because it is one of the few places in that location that doesn’t require a minimum 2 night stay. The inn itself is currently closed but there’s a pub a few mins walk away. Good spot for longer distance walking and you can walk to the lake in a reasonable time (we got a bit lost 😂). Facilities are ok - a shower and toilet. Electric hookup available.

Very Nice Visit

My daughter and I stayed here last week for 3 nights,so obviously Covid regulations are strictly in place. All that was explained to us by Amy when we arrived and also as our room would not be cleaned during that time ,how to get towels etc if we needed any changed.
This is a very old Inn. Floors are not even and stairs are steep as is to be expected. Our twin room was lovely looking out on to the garden,with a little window seat too. The tv was wall mounted and worked perfectly,better reception than in some 4 star hotels.
The bathroom is not old however,brand new with a fabulous walk in shower,all very clean,and with plenty of space for toiletries etc.
We had asked for Vegan breakfasts and these were a treat every morning,lots of food to set us up for a day walking the fells. It turned out  a very good idea to have breakfast there as there is not really anywhere else nearby.
Sadly the bar is not open at the moment,I hope it does again as it looked a fab place to sit after a hard days walking and there is a lovely garden out the back .
Amy and Mark could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. We would definitely go back again.
