Yew Tree Farm

Our grandson wanted to stay on a farm so we booked this stay.
He absolutely loved it Sheila & Malcom really made it special. They showed him around the farm and introduced him to the animals.
The breakfast was absolutely lovely.

We spent four nights here with our two daughters aged 6 and 9. They loved seeing the farm in action and meeting all the animals. Collecting eggs, feeding the goats and even taking one for a walk! The owners are great and breakfasts were delicious. 

From the moment we got there Sheila greeted us with a big smile and made us feel really welcome.
We slept in a beautifully cozy and clean room with its own bathroom downstairs, which had a very comfy bed to catch the Z's!!
In the morning we were greeted again by a smiling Sheila who asked us what we wanted for breakfast. We had fresh coffee, some lovely muesli, what tasted like homemade jam and marmalade on toast and a full English with excellent thick bacon and awesome sausages!!
A very lovely stay, in beautiful surroundings, with good wholesome food, all topped off by an amazing hostess!
Next time in Congleton, we will be sure to stay again!!

This working farm is absolutely lovely, surrounded by fields and rolling hills.
Sheila is a friendly host and nothing is to much trouble - We loved sitting outside in the garden, enjoying tea and cake on arrival and a tasty breakfast in the morning. Brilliant way to celebrate our 7th “wool” anniversary - Thank you!

I recently had an overnight stay at Yew Tree Farm.  The room was clean, comfortable and with everything I could possibly need. 
The breakfast was delicious.
Yew Tree Farm is in a peaceful, rural location in beautiful surroundings.  It was lovely to be welcomed by the resident goats and I had a view of the cows through the bedroom window.
Sheila was a wonderful host.  I hope to stay again next time I am visiting the area.   Thank you Sheila.

We have just spent a lovely 3 nights at Yew tree Farm B+B - we had a cosy double room on the ground floor with access to a very comfortable longe area.  The breakfast was outstanding with lots of choice and my coeliac diet didn’t phase Sheila at all!   The place was excellently clean.  Social distancing was maintained, and Sheila was friendly and helpful 
The farm is super with beautiful walks and cows goats and chickens 😀
We walked up ‘the cloud’ and along the canal to Gawsworth and visited leek and Jodrell Bank. 
All in all a very good break.

Sheila gave us a warm welcome with tea/coffee and cakes and both the bedroom and guest lounge were very comfortable.

Breakfast is made to order each morning and was delicious and the location of the Farm was great for visiting either Manchester, Cheshire or Derbyshire. 

We stayed for 4 nights and used the farm as a base - we visited Chatsworth House on the Tuesday, Chester on Wednesday and we cycled on the Tissington Trail on the Thursday.

There are lots of animals on the farm including; goats, cows, sheep, ducks, hens and not forgetting the Farm cat and sheepdog.

Sheila is a wonderful host and will tell you as much information about the Farm as you want.

There are lots of good places to walk with plenty of guides to use.

Would recommend for a cosy relaxing stay.

Couple of minor points to note - the wifi signal can be a little weak - however we didn't really use it
The lounge and bedroom were a little cold when we arrived back from our days out - however there are oil filled radiators which can be plugged in.

Finally we were lucky to have the place to ourselves for 2 of the 4 nights however another couple stayed for the other 2 nights  and at breakfast there is just one table so we ate together - generally we prefer a nice quiet breakfast and would prefer a seperate table however it was fine and did not spoil anything.

My husband and I stayed here last night as we were going to a Motown night at nearby Gawsworth Hall.  Sheila was very welcoming and, very kindly, gave us a lift to Gawsworth this morning to collect our car.  
The room was very clean, well equipped and very comfortable.  There was a great selection at breakfast, very tasty too. Yew Tree Farm is a peaceful retreat with stunning views of the local countryside.
We would definitely stay here again and would totally recommend.

A comfortable two night stay on a working farm. Sheila made us very welcome and we had a warm room and bed over what was a rather cold weekend. Some of the farm animals are close to the farm house. A newly born goat kid kept us amused with it's antics and handsome highland cattle watched us walk across the fields on a local footpath from the farm.
Sheila is a good cook and food was home made. A comfortable lounge enabled us to relax.

I stayed 3 nights while working in Congleton. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice including home made Jam & marmalade. I was made very welcome and found it very convenient for Congleton. Although the room was a normal family room it had everything you need including an en suite. There is also a guest lounge and parking was no problem. 
You can see all the animals on this working farm and there are lots of walks locally. I would definitely go again.
