Very nice and clean room, and above all a great host who took the time to recommend us sights, restaurants, and day trips which all turned out fantastic.

Stayed in Windermere for a wedding over weekend of 6th April 2024. 
Great hosts, very friendly service and fabulous breakfast. Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent hot beverage selection. Free w
WiFi. Short walk to local restaurants. 20 min walk to the lake. Great value for money.

A lovely cosy guesthouse with a warm welcome from Graham & Alison.  Parking is good (a rarity here) and the location was quiet but ideally located for Bowness, Windermere and the Lakes.  The breakfast was great and I will definitely be back at the earliest opportunity.  Pity it wasn't the "Red Rose Guest House", writes a Lancastrian!
Highly recommended.  

Lovely room, comfortable bed and right in the centre of Windermere. Graham was great and gave us plenty ideas of things to do and pubs to visit :)
Didn’t experience the breakfast though wish we had after a disastrous visit elsewhere! 

Or stay at White Rose was hampered due to the national rail strike however while we were there our hosts were exceedingly friendly and willing to work with us. The hotel is located right off the main street area of Windermere and is in Easy walking distance. I would recommend this location for a very comfortable getaway

Incredible price for what you get, graham is a fantastic host very knowledgeable and gave us many recommendations of where to go/what to do and we had a great 2 days there essentially due to his recommendations, the place has wifi a TV onsuite and enough space the breakfasts were lovely and best of all the price was very cheap compared to the other places in Windermere absolute 10/10

I stayed for 3 nights. Graham met me when I arrived. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. 
My room was at the top of the property and Graham, kindly, took my bag up. 
The room was a good size with a nice en-suite shower room.
The B&B is very well located on a quiet street close to the shops, restaurants and to the station.
This was my first time in the Lake District and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the B&B and all the areas I visited while I stayed there.
I would highly recommend the White Rose.

Couldn’t find any faults whatsoever 
As previously stated Graham is the perfect host and is on hand to offer any help with the  local area and what is has to offer 
The star of the show was Alisons breakfasts that were absolutely gorgeous with superb local produce and yes the black pudding is to die for.

Top notch

Small and cozy but clean and has everything you need. Wonderful owner, stayed up late to check us in as we arrived really late due to train delays. Even showed us a map, how to get around windermere and told us which towns are worth visiting. You can order a full english breakfast from them as well which tasted nice.

Just returned from the White Rose after a 3 night stay. Cannot speak highly enough about the Guest House.  We stayed in room 5 (Helvellyn) which was clean, very comfortable with a good bed, bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and TV. Graham and Alison are excellent host's, friendly and very informative regarding the area and things to do. The breakfast is superb and sets you up for a day discovering the Lakes and the Guest House is situated very conveniently for local shops, restaurants and bars, all literally at the end of the road. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Windermere look no further than the White Rose.

We enjoyed our stay and our host very welcoming. Our twin bedded room was veryclean and bright and everything you would want for a couple of nights stay. The shower and toilet was very clean but very small and the shower temperature was ru ning at warm which wasnt hot enough for us. The beds were very comfortable. The location of the b&b was excellent for walking into Windermere. Breakfast was £8 well presented and tasty. Overall a very good stay.

A Well Presented B&B

Thank you once again Graham and Alison for a superb stay. 

We arrived and Graham was there to greet us. Friendly and full of knowledge and recommendations for the local area and even beyond. The property is on a quiet street, very close (next street) to the shops and restaurants of Windermere which was perfect. There is free on street parking outside the property. 
We were welcomed into the dining room which was decorated lovely and felt very fresh. 

We stayed in room 1 - Catbells. Great room, comfy bed, we slept so, so well. Perfect for two adults and lots of refreshments to hand, the tea tray is stocked with a huge variety of items. The shower is powerful and there are complimentary toiletries to use if required. Our towels were changed frequently and our room was serviced to a high standard daily. Lots of plugs to use and USB ports for charging cables. There’s a guide and information booklet to the area in the room, digital alarm clock, extra pillows and blankets, table and chairs in the wardrobe and a hair dryer. Ample storage space for our belongings. Breakfast was amazing! You can pick and choose what days you have it too. Great service from Graham at breakfast and the food, Alison, was 5* thank you! 

Outside the property there is a table and chairs which is surrounded by a well maintained and colourful flower garden. A great place to reflect on the day or to have a little rest. 

We stayed for 6 nights and we could have stayed so much longer. We’ve had the best time and I couldn’t recommend the White Rose enough. Amazing base for Windermere and the Lake District. 

We’ve booked again for October for my 30th and we can’t wait to be back again.
