Stayed at the trouville hotel on the 27th January entering the room there was a very strange smell in the room like a cross between cat wee and smelly feet, the room was drab and a bit grim.  No kettle in the room my husband had to go and ask for one at reception. No hairdryer but there was a bracket for one. Bed has seen better days stains around bed base and on the carpet. Had the shower the next morning bathroom door wouldn’t shut and the bracket for the shower head was broken so you had to hold the shower head and try to shower yourself at the same time….. Breakfast was actually ok good variety and hot nice thick bread and good quality sausages only downfall was there was no scrambled egg only fried even though the website said there was. All in all good breakfast awful room.

There’s not enough space to write a full review due to the amount of things that were wrong with this hotel. When asked for a refund they refused. I will never set foot in this place again. 
Words just fail me. From mould on the walls, wallpaper hanging off, broken shower doors, toilet not fixed to the wall properly, beds with stains on them, I could go on but just avoid this place at all costs.

Unfortunately I never looked at the reviews before booking a room at this Hotel, BIG mistake. Booked for 6 nights but only stayed 1. Was told we would get a refund but 24 days later am still waiting. They told Booking.com that they had paid but when asked for proof of payment were unable to because it never happened. I tried to contact the hotel and the so called "manager" on several occasions even going back to the hotel but unfortunately got no reply which goes against the profile of the so called "manager's" profile which would suggest that he is the best "manager" since sliced bread but is unable to return a phone call. As for the Hotel, it's in need of a full renovation and the only good thing I can say about it is that it's location is good then it's all down hill from here. The room was awful at best , the floor creaked with every step you took. I felt sorry for anyone in the room below, they must have thought we were coming through. The water in the bathroom sink and shower came out like a Sloth doing a 100m sprint. The room itself was not clean and the food (breakfast) was poor, most items being warm at best. I could go on but going by previous reviews it's all been said.  If you are happy with cheap and nasty this is the place for you. If not I would suggest a park bench would be a better option. How this place has ever received a 3 star rating is beyond me.

We stayed in room 223, it was very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable.  Staff are very pleasant  and helpful.  Great location and if you book direct you get free parking.  We have rebooked for another night  in a few weeks.  Pool area was good bit dated but still very relaxing!

Relaxing, comfortable and clean

Ideal for a one-night stay in the centre of Bournemouth. As with all budget hotels; you get what you pay for. I have a feeling my room was upgraded since I stayed in a much smaller room last time for the same price, which was a nice touch. Maybe because January is usually a quiet month for hospitality, I didn’t see any other guests walking about the place. 

The room was a decent size and was clean. As well as the bathroom which was tip-top, despite the fact I was worried about cleanliness reading recent reviews. The shower and sink functioned as they should. Whilst in good hygiene, the hotel itself and rooms are very tired looking, and are in desperate need of an upgrade. There were marks on the carpet, rips in the curtains and the walls definitely need a refresh. The room also smelt slightly old and musty. If you can overlook this, then the room is satisfactory to rest your head for the night. 

My only complaint is that nobody was at the front desk for me to check out. I was standing there waiting for a good 10-15 minutes before realising all the staff were sat eating breakfast around the corner. Maybe it would be best to have a key box for check out? In general the staff were friendly but could have been more attentive. 

Overall, this hotel is okay for the price if you’re looking for a cheap stop off in Bournemouth.

Average budget-friendly hotel

Extremely limited parking,  which became suspiciously empty later at night? 
Other guests loudly complaining, in the foyer, when we tried to check in. This person stated she had slept in a soiled bed, and she was checking out early,  which did not inspire us with confidence on our arrival. Although the Manager tried to calm her down and he offered to buy her a drink,  to listen to her complaints. 

The whole hotel is tired, damp smelling and literally worn out. Corridors are tatty, with off- white looking wall paper, clearly past its best. Worn out carpet, which again would have been smart, when new. 

Very limited evening food menu. They only have burgers, pizza and cesar salad. Although they couldn't even guarantee the chef could cook us anything, as they had a party in the restaurant. Restaurant food appeared very expensive for very little choice too.

The lift is in an awful state,  with wallpaper coming away from the walls, and it has definitely seen better days.

The bathroom had a damaged mirror, the side panel on the bath was falling off.  Mould, rust and just general dirt around the bath and shower. After reading reviews about other peoples' showers not working or experiencing brown water,  we decided not to use these facilities. 

The breakfast was cold and tasteless in the morning.  The fried bread was cold and rock hard.  The apple juice appeared to be watered down.  At least the yoghurt was nice though. 

We stayed here in December 2021 and it has completely changed and deteriorated since then,  in less than 2 years later. It is in serious need of completely being renovated and re decorated and upgraded. The furniture in the bedroom is now looking very old and dated.  The staff even appear to be worn out and fed up. 
We heard the chef 'snap' at one of the staff in the restaurant, at breakfast 'what's going on here then', very aggressively. Mind you,  he did look scruffy, dirty and tired too.

Whoever owns this hotel needs to invest in its modernisation and upkeep .
It is in an amazing location, so close to the BIC and central Bournemouth. But we won't be coming back anytime soon,  as we literally felt 'dirty' on staying here. 

How can a hotel deteriorate so much,  in less than 2 years!?

Awful hotel. The room did not have a functioanl shower, and they told me to "shower at the pool"! When I checked out instead, they refused to refund the first night of my stay. Frankly a staggering lack of customer service.

On top of which, the hotel is an absolute dive. Dirty, dated, and in desperate need of renovation or demolition. Far and away the wost hotel I have ever experienced.

Well, what can I say, this is the worst property I have stayed at ever. There are numerous things wrong with this hotel. I will only mention a few, its dated, staff are rude.

- We had no light in our room 2 days out of the 3 days we were there, No one classed this as a urgent matter. We had to use the table lamps. The light switch was broken and was left open, it was dangerous, as our kids could have put fingers in side.

- Room was dirty to the extent there was hair on carpets, there was spider webs, thick black dirt on windows and walls (wish i could submit pictures to show), when we spoke to staff and manager, they all agreed our rooms (as we had 2) were not fir to stay in. All we were told was talk to expedia and ask for a refund. Imagine this was the staff themselves saying their hotel was not fit for purpose. 

- Breakfast was bad, uncooked, chef was extremely rude. Infact, on the second day, the extremely rude chef would not let me go up for a second time, instead he shouted go away. Me, my wife and kids, left that hotel hungry at breakfast. I have never ever seen a hotel restrict you to breakfast like that and if so inform your customer.

- My kids suffers from severe dust allergy, he had rashes all over his body, in fact even I had some sort of bites on my body, showing how unclean and dirty this place was.

I can truly say, that I could have slept in my car and that would have been a upgrade to this hotel. The lifts were bad too at 1 stage. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location. By the way never got my refund, even though I was promised, they just ignore me now. I have to go to bank to dispute them, stay away!!!!!!

Manager said that they wear refunding a room at a time my room had what looked like graffiti over the Capet wallpaper off the walls would not recommend this to anyone 

Hotel need a good clean mirrors in dining room need a good clean and in the bar files flies on the windows seals ho

It was a good stay as the bed was comfy and the bedding was comfy and the bathroom was good as well the swimming pool was good too overall it was a good stay the bed however was uncomfortable as it was a springy mattress but can’t complain for it as it was cheap
