Nice and clean rooms, good coffe shop over the road useful for that morning cuppa as not available in the room

Loved my stay at Bloc it was very peaceful and no interruptions. When I arrived one of the lovely reception staff helped me with my bags and another changed my room as they explained the lift wasn't working and kindly changed my room to ground floor as I had heavy bags. 10/10 service will definitely stay again

Loves the helpfulness of the staff during our stay considering our circumstances (2 drunk girls whose trains cancelled last minute and no way home till the next day). Staff helped with the check in, trying to split the bill, giving us a nice room; couldn’t fault the place.

Good size room, very clean and great to use an app to acess room and all the room functions. Nice area too

Never heard of Bloc hotels .It was very clean and had good standards to detailJust wish tea and coffee was in the room.

Great location / area, no issues walking back at night / early morning Room had everything could need & suited me perfectly. Only minor thing  I would say the soundproofing of the rooms could be a bit better but didn’t impact my stay / sleep and I would certainly look at going back to that hotel again.

Bloc Birmingham

Nice modern property within walking distance of the Metro. Noisy at night though, and the room was very warm. No parking either, which meant car parks 10 minute walk away or on street parking. Privacy was also a bit questionable. Opposite our window was a block of flats. We could see in to their homes and they could see into our room. The only option was a full blackout blind, which meant no natural light.

Overall pretty good. Nice modern and clean look to the building. Staff we friendly and and professional. Great discounted pizza restaurant opposite the hotel. Only criticism would be the bathroom where you have a shower, toilet and sink in the same small room making everything wet when you shower including the toilet paper. Would not stop me booking again though.

Good value for money

Bloc overall is a good, modern budget hotel with contemporary features. Apartment rooms are the best with good amenities including mini kitchen with fridge, coffee maker, microwave and sink. Staff on reception were very helpful. The only downside is there is no breakfast, but there are cafes a short walk away in the Jewelry Quarter

The hotel was in a great location for our event, and a nice part of Birmingham (jewellery quarter). Check in was straightforward, staff were friendly and I was upgraded to an "apartment" which was clean and well appointed.My only issue was that the rooms didn't seem to be very well sound insulated because the people in the room above kept me awake until 1:30 because I could clearly hear their talking.Clever use of an app to allow access to the hotel, lift and room, instead of a key.

Chic little hotel

Very interesting hotel pretty much in the center of Birmingham. (You walk around 10-15 minutes to Central Station)The room was small but sweet and the bed was comfortable. What I liked was the easy access over smartphone. I wasn't a big fan of the shower/toilet combo though. So in the end it was great for a one night stay, but the wet floor in the bathroom would bother me if I stayed longer.

Nice small rooms

Really good stay and upgraded on my first night to a bigger room that I didn’t need but enjoyed having for the night with tea and coffee in the room. You can get tea and coffee by reception so there is a place to get a drink but still like to have in the room but only available in the expensive rooms. I think my only gripe is the phone app access that took a while to load on my second night to switch the lights on and off. I was given the option of an actual key card so I could get into the room the second night as the novelty of controlling door access and lights on a phone had definitely worn off. Overall a good stay and value for money.

Easy parking in the NCP carpark 2 minutes away which was very secure. 15 minute walk to the arena, 20 minute walk to the city centre. Lots of options for eating out. The room was perfect for a base - smaller than expected, but this was fine as we only needed somewhere to sleep after the concert. Room was immaculate, bed incredibly comfortable, smart tv and bottled water in the room, great size bath towels, shower was great. Overall, highly recommended, we will definitely be back for our next trip to the arena!

This is perfect for a quick stay. I got the no window standard room and well it definitely didn’t give a fair description. The room had a smart layout and led lights above the “fake window” so it looks like the blinds are down but only wall behind it. The bathroom was interesting, I honestly didn’t mind the layout but definitely should make it clear that your bathroom will flood because the entire bathroom is your shower. All in all really nice spot
