Very happy with our stay. Check-in was quick and easy room was great, we had a carvery in the evening which was excellent value. Would highly recommend this hotel.
We used this hotel for the airport as our parking aph parking is only 8 mins away.  

Firstly how its call innkeepers lodge when its huge sign outside say the SWAN threw us for 20mins before asking to be told the swan is the place so just be careful..

Right what a gem great parking around the back and then easy check in which is at the end of the pub bar .. was quick and efficient.. dropped bags in room which was outstanding huge shower and so comfy bed slept amazing.stop tap is 11pm and music stops and place so quiet thro the night i wasnt disturbed at all.. The staff were so friendly along with the locals and the food which is well served and help yourself to salad bar was brilliant..i would advise all to stay here great value for money right in town and few shops ,indians,fish shop,and other bars on doorstep 

We really enjoyed this hotel, the rooms were clean, up to date and well maintained. They were cleaned and beds made promptly everyday. The restaurant downstairs served value for money meals and the location is central for the High Street. Staff were also very pleasant. Plenty of parking thats free for guests. Very nice.

Was attending a conference and exhibition at the NEC and needed to arrive the night before. Hotels around the area and in Birmingham were asking £200+ per night so when I saw this I thought what could be wrong with it? Anyway it turned out to be excellent. Rooms were well equipped clean and warm (once I sorted out how to use the heater!) The bar was a lively place and all the staff were efficient and friendly. Had a great nights sleep and the included breakfast was first class....all for £79.00. Don’t miss this bargain!

We stayed for 2 nights whilst exhibiting at the NEC which is a nice easy 10 minute drive away. Wheeling our cases through the restaurant area and checking in at the end of the bar was a bit chaotic at 6 pm on a Friday night but it was handled quickly and efficiently.  Our room was as expected with everything we needed and the bright en suite was pristine.

We chose pizza and a huge burger for our evening meal, both cooked perfectly and outstanding value for money as you could help yourself to chips and salad from the buffet, not that they were needed. Our only slight negative was that there was nowhere to sit after our meal to enjoy a few drinks. The bar was packed and really loud so we had to sit in the, by now, empty restaurant. Shame there isnt room for a residents area.

Last, but by no means least, Breakfast! Continental is included but for a mere £4.49 extra there is a full English buffet, fresh, constantly topped up and delicious! Would we stay again, most definitely, but maybe find a quieter pub for after our evening meals.

We stayed here for one night £62 for a room including breakfast. The room was large with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits. Powerful shower, good lighting and enough space to get ready with ample sockets. Luckily we were away from the main road and the noise. The bed was so hard so ended up sleeping on the the sofa bed but that’s personal choice. Great value for money and central location. Wish it had a separate entrance rather than having to go into the Toby itself. Would return. 

Very happy with stay room was clean and had all that you need though if you need good lighting could be an issue bed firm but comfortable dinner was very good non fancy food hot and tasty staff was professional friendly and helpful

Bit confusing on arrival as the check desk is a small counter at the end of a loud busy bar with poor signage.  Lots of Stairs to our room & no good for disabled access at all. The room was clean although lacking storage space if you needed to stay for more than one night. The lighting in the room was very poor and dingy.  Shower pressure good although the shower doors did not close properly and soaked the floor.  The breakfast was good with veggie options.  Staff OK but not as friendly as other places I have stayed.  I would not look to return as it had nothing to bring me back for.

No frills accommodation

This hotel is fine Sunday night to Thursday night.
Comfy beds, large bathroom & reasonable Breakfast. Then at the Weekend Friday & Saturday nights, it becomes another animal.
Large crowds in the bar (mostly youngsters) partying to the disco beat till 1.00am, kick out time!
It’s fine if want to join in or are a deep sleeper, but not for me, and if I had known this at the start, I would of booked somewhere else!

Be aware 

The walls are paper thin. I was there with work but had residents next to me who were partying all night, playing loud music and shouting and when asked at 2am to please lower the music got very aggressive and started bashing my door shouting abuse. There is no phone in the room, the emergency phone is in the hall and there were no numbers I could call on my mobile. The following morning the manager was aggressive to me, totally unsympathetic and told me he couldn’t do anything and I shouldn’t have been frightened! He wasn’t prepared to move my room. I am going to make a formal complaint. A female travelling on her own should never be terrified in her own hotel room and the way the manager dealt with it was truly shocking. I advise travellers to stay away!
