We’re just back from a dance break with HFS holidays at Newfield Hall. It’s a beautiful country house set in a lovely estate. We had a classic (standard) room which was very clean & comfortable. Lovely lounge areas & a bar, great food & helpful & courteous staff. Great value for money, with breakfast, picnic lunch & 3 course meals all provided. We would definitely return.

I went with a party from Traveleyes for a 5 day tour.  A very comfortable hotel, reminded me of times gone by, with the luxurious surroundings amidst a pastoral landscape of the Dales which didn't appear to have changed much over centuries.  The room I shared was great, such a good night's sleep I had.  The meals were first rate, such a great choice from the menu of full board, for breakfast, packed lunch & dinner.  Very relaxing.  The staff were so lovely, helpful, nothing was too much trouble.  Very supportive when something was required.  I would give this a 5* rating.  Highly recommended.  I would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful old home nestled in some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen.  The staff were friendly, the food excellent and the walking guides well informed and friendly.  I would love to go back and highly recommend others to enjoy this wonderful experience.

Was here on an HF walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. Newfield Hall is  owned and operated by HF. It’s a lovely property that provides full board to all its guests. The rooms were adequately sized and the bathrooms updated, providing wonderful hot showers after a full day of hiking. The menu was generally very good. The staff very helpful! A pleasure to stay here as a guest!

Fabulous place to stay. Friendly, cheerful staff who would help you & has an excellent house manager & deputies. The accommodation was very comfortable & clean. I had a double bed in a good sized room all to myself. Plenty of drawers & wardrobe space plus a very handy desk & chair. Spacious bathroom with heated towel rails & a double shower. Could not fault the accommodation. Room had a lovely view to countryside. The food was plentiful, excellent quality & no one would ever go hungry staying on an HF Holiday from tasty cooked breakfasts, packed lunches & 3 course evening meals. Plenty of car park spaces but I was dependent on bus services which aren't too frequent so check where you want to go first. I had a few lifts from other people staying there & also had a friend visit with a car so I wasn't stuck in!

I can honestly say that Newfield Hall provided a 5 star quality experience from start to finish. From the hotel’s beautiful setting, elegant & very comfortable  accommodation. , amazing food, perfectly cooked, presented & served, to the welcoming & wonderful Manager Owen & his attentive staff, I and my fellow guests from our Choir experienced a truly memorable weekend. We can hardly wait for our next visit!

I highly recommend Newfield Hall, you are made to feel welcome from the moment you are greeted in the entrance hall until the time you leave. The hotel is spotless. Rooms are very comfortable. The food is excellent and there is a range of options available each day, often I found it hard to choose !
The thing that  makes here such a fantastic place to stay is the staff. They are welcoming and efficient, nothing is ever too much trouble , always cheerful. Owen the manager deserves a special mention as he always ensures his guests are well looked after. I am looking forward already to returning .

This is the best HF hotel I’ve stayed in.  The staff were so helpful, hard working and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.  A good choice of food, well cooked and presented.  Lovely rooms, great beds and after a day of Yorkshire moor climbing it was good to get back to a lovely hot shower. 

This is simply the best venue for visiting the Airedale valley in North Yorkshire. The bedroom was excellent, bed comfortable, shower room well equipped and spotlessly clean. TV and tea / coffee making facilities were new and perfect. Current COVID restrictions meant that rooms were not serviced but I actually preferred this over what was normal practice.
The public areas are spacious from the huge welcoming hall to the cosy bar to the extensive public lounges. The dining room is also large with picture windows looking out onto the moors. The meals are also very good, breakfast huge and dinner also substantial. Together with the packed lunches, this is only the second walking holiday I have been on where I actually gained weight! ( the other one was also an HF Holiday).
The drying room was also good, really effective.
This is an excellent, interesting hotel in an interesting area, great for walkers.

I stayed here with my partner for a relaxing autumn weekend. We felt fairly safe as covid precautions had been thought through carefully.  The food was delicious and plentiful though I would happily have exchanged half my portion of meat for some fresh vegetables. There were lots of options for a walk from the house and detailed route instructions were available.

Comfortable accommodation in a delightful location

We stayed 4 nights at Newfield Hall with HF for a walking trip. Had no idea what to expect. The grand building is set in beautiful grounds and is newly renovated. Our twin room was not spectacular but very clean and practical for our needs. Comfy beds, great water pressure and decent storage. The communal areas are full of character. A delightful bar area with roaring fire, relaxing sitting area with views, spacious dining area. Staff cannot be faulted. Friendly, courteous, efficient and cheerful. The food - exceptional. Breakfast buffet plus promptly served cooked breakfasts; packed lunches with choice of sandwich and help-yourself snacks; 3-course dinner with fresh local produce.  We were very impressed indeed and highly recommend Newfield Hall and the beautiful area it sits in.
