I come to Bath 3 or 4 times a year and since discovering this delightful place, I haven't stayed anywhere else. The accommodation, service and hosts are simply wonderful; the breakfast is the best I've had anywhere.

I booked a room new years eve in the chinese suite, it was absolutely perfect, and felt very welcome. The bed was so comfortable. The food was excellent. Just a all round absolutely wonderful stay and so happy I found this place. Thank you so much x

I was in the Georgian Suite, a giant room, which was well appointed with every amenity imaginable, including Mary's delicious homemade baking. Every need was anticipated  by these two delightful hosts. I would return in a heartbeat.

We’ve never posted a review before, largely because we’ve never stayed in such a wonderful place as Grove Lodge.  The hospitality, the food and the accommodation were all just perfect, and just a 20 minute walk along the canal into the city centre.  Highly recommended.  We will definitely be back!

Stayed for 3 nights what an absolutely fab, wonderful B&B this is, does what it says on the tin LUXURY. Keep your swanky 4&5 star chain hotels. You will not stay anywhere better, Mary and Giovanni look after you like long lost family members I will definitely go back in the future.

Couldn't fault this lovely B&B. Wonderful welcome by the hosts, yummy homemade cookies, a glass of bubbles. Huge rooms. Comfy bed with choice of pillows. Delicious breakfast .... would definitely go again as didnt have time to enjoy the bath. Shower was wonderful though

Just arrived home from a fantastic weekend in Bath with friends. We stayed at the Grove lodge and what an amazing place, from the moment we arrived and was greeted by Giovanni and Mary whom we can’t thank enough for the lovely warm welcome and couldn’t do enough to help us. 
The rooms/suite  were absolutely stunning and the attention to detail was way beyond than expected, totally luxurious and can highly recommend the fudge in our rooms amongst other luxurious items .
The bed was so comfy I had the best night sleep ever 
The breakfast was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic we couldn’t have asked for more, so I would totally recommend a visited here you will not be disappointed

My husband booked this as a surprise for my birthday. Mary and Giovanni the hosts made us feel very welcome. The Georgian Suite was very clean and tastefully decorated. There were also some really nice touches like a surprise homemade birthday cake (which was delicious). Also home made biscotti and fudge to name just a few. The views onto the garden and over the hills were lovely. Although it is next to a busy road I cant say we noticed this at all. The walk into town was very scenic along the canal. Other plus notes include a delicious breakfast, a very powerful shower and free parking. This place certainly offers something a lot more special than air BnB at a very competitive rate. 

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place. 



Giovanni & Mary are very welcoming and can not do enough for you, we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco & homemade fudge & biscuits, there was multiple choices for breakfast, which is served at a requested time in our private lounge. The breakfast was superb & to a very high standard. The property is well managed & kept clean, with a luxurious feel. Our private suite was the Roman suite, situated on the whole top floor, with lovely views across Bath. Plenty of extras were available in the room everything from tea/coffee/fridge bar to toiletries. We would like to thank the owners for making our stay such a special one and we will definitely hope to return in the future. A*service.

We enjoyed a weekend here and I selfishly thought about not writing a review to keep it a secret, but Mary and Giovanni deserve the highest compliments for the wonderful accommodation.

 Upon arrival we were met at this beautiful property by the owners Mary and Giovanni who showed us to the off street parking and were very welcoming. You could immediately sense that you were staying somewhere special.

They showed us to our suite and what a surprise. 

Our suite was magnificent with such attention to detail. Beautifully furnished and decorated with a lot of thought given to what is needed. Everything has been thought of and taken care of.

The breakfast menu was wonderful with the provenance of all the foods listed on the menu and breakfast was brought to our room each morning by Mary and Giovanni.

The Suite had a well stocked and reasonably priced mini bar as well as tea making facilities and a Nespresso machine. There was also a European socket on one wall and a USB charger as well as a Bose blue tooth speaker (again everything has been thought of)

The bathroom was modern, clean and light, with a heated towel rail and nice large quality towels and the bed was super comfy with a pillow menu and different types types of pillows provided.

I could write so much about this place but in closing, this is right up there with being in the top places we have ever stayed. It is a credit to the owners who are obviously well travelled and have lovingly and fastidiously created tasteful  luxurious accommodation from their best experiences.

Perfect place to enjoy Bath 

One of the best places we have stayed in, Superb.

Simply the best accommodation in Bath!

I’m conflicted... do I tell you about this exquisite haven which is probably firmly embedded in our top 5 hotels worldwide in which we have stayed, or do I keep quiet in the hope that I will secure a booking every time I come to Bath for the next 3 years while our child is at uni?
We stayed in the Chinese suite; a tasteful array of colours, decor and personal touches that provide a wondrous welcome and feeling of luxury, together with amenities that are very well thought out.  This includes an extensive selection of tea, nespressos, home made Italian biscotti and fudge, fresh flowers throughout the suite from their beautiful garden, slippers, bathrobes, pillow selection menu, nice bathroom products...the list goes on. 
As for the hosts, Mary and Giovanni, what a lovely couple, who have obviously put their heart and soul and impeccable taste into this establishment and care about the service they provide.  This included a private parking place across the road, and even helping with our bags to cross the main road. The best part is the hotel is set back so the only noises you hear are the birds, and the discreet knock at your door in the morning for your pre-scheduled breakfast delivery. This is a sight to behold... silver platters filled with home made jams, yoghurts, and an extensive menu to choose from each night. Just delicious!
Without a doubt, I will be a regular here and would highly recommend!
