Went today for lunch we have been before always good food and a warm friendly welcome can highly recommend we stop here for lunch when going to Sissinghurst Castle as the National Trust have ruined there menu’s since COVID

We enjoyed our visit to The Bakehouse this afternoon, a warm and friendly family run tea house/restaurant. 
Our food was delicious! 
It was lovely to meet you and your family today.

We wanted to eat at the West House restaurant in Biddenden and we have a dog so needed to find dog friendly accommodation. After looking on Trip Advisor we saw the Bakehouse.  How glad we were to have stayed here. We had the most wonderful time staying in the Bakehouse.  This family run cafe/B&B is a delight to be in.  The family that run the establishment are the most friendly people I have ever met.  The stairs to the attic room are quite steep so you need to be fairly mobile.  Our dog is a pug and we had to carry him up and down the stairs as they were a little bit too steep for him.  Our room had so much character although you have to bend a bit if you are tall it was quite spacious. We were to lucky to park right outside on the street but if not a space available there is a car park across the road behind the Post Office.  The included breakfast and service was perfect and the whole stay was a pleasure.  Fresh milk is provided and nothing is too much trouble. 

Enjoyed coffee and tea cakes sitting outside this morning in the unseasonably warm February sun shine whilst on a long bike ride. Very pleasant staff, breakfast looked good too. recommend it. Even had a bike rack. 

Stopped off last week for lunch while on our way to Sissinghurst Castle. We live in the area, but had never eaten at The Bakehouse, always driving past as we figured it was for tourists and would be overpriced. How wrong we were...
Lovely, friendly welcome, and directed to the blackboard menu with lots of choices. It was blisteringly hot, so we opted for sandwiches and the Ploughmans. Both appeared in minutes, the Ploughmans served on a huge wooden board....pork pie, cheese, pickle, coleslaw, salad, huge chunks of fresh crusty bread and lovely full fat butter.

The staff couldn't do enough for us, and made us feel genuinely welcome.  We spent around half of what we normally do at Sissinghurst Castle tea rooms so will definitely be back. Great value, quality Kentish food with a kind and warming welcome. Don't miss it..

Stayed here on the recommendation of friends who had stayed before and conveyed to us how quirky the Bakehouse was.

We weren’t disappointed as from the minute we arrived and were given the choice of rooms we knew it would be fun, yes you need to be a mountain goat to climb the stairs, yes you need to duck to avoid banging your head, yes the friendly cat will jump on you in the middle of the night should you leave the skylight window open but what a fun experience staying here is!

The owner is lovely and friendly and the breakfast in the morning is just amazing and will round off your stay in a wonderful way, we would certainly stay again and as long as you don’t expect modern chain style hotel stays the Bakehouse is a fabulous choice!

Had breakfast in The Bakehouse and it was superb. (Recommend by a friend who is a regular customer.) Beautifully cooked with the option to choose exactly what you wanted off the extensive menu, rather than the combinations suggested. Coffee excellent. All the staff were friendly and delightful (we were served by Sue who deserves a special mention!). There were tables available, but perhaps advisable to book if timings are crucial. Just loved it and can't wait to return. Thank you The Bakehouse.
