Generous welcome as always from hosts Kate and Nathan at this delightful country bed and breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble- rooms well equipped and  warm atmosphere. Just right for us and highly recommended for a stay close to the many and lovely attractions in Devon

Spick and span family run Devon accommodation. Friendly and obliging owners who happily assisted with all requests and enquiries. Conveniently located to Ashburton and Dartmoor Moors. Generous breakfast options included. Would happily recommend and stay again. Just a shame the weather didn't allow us to enjoy the garden!

A great place to stay for a few days with comfortable rooms, a beautiful garden, plenty of lovely places to explore in the Dartmoor and icing on the cake Kate and Nathan who were very nice and helpful; they gave us tips on restaurants and places to visit in the area 😊
We'll probably come back to Gages Mill to enjoy this place and also Pierre wants to challenge the British runners in The Crossing after the Great Escape race 😉

We had an amazing experience at Gages Mills. We had a group of six adults traveling to the area for a family wedding. The property is lovely.  The rooms are very comfortable and the gardens are beautiful.  The country breakfasts were delicious! Kate and Nathan were incredable hosts. They acommodated our every need, including a family members illness and working out details for a longer stay. This allowed more garden time and spending time in the darling town of Ashburton!
Our stay at Gages Mills was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!

We stayed recently at the property for 2 nights, cannot fault this lovely place, location worked well for us. Nothing was too much for Kate who was such a welcoming host and offered us ideas on where to go visit. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and comfortable. We look forward to visiting again. I couldn't recommend this place more. We stayed here for two nights for a wedding. Kate and Nathan were wonderful hosts and their b&b is the most perfect getaway. Our room was cosy and comfortable and we had everything we needed. They served us a lovely English breakfast that was both filling and delicious.
I actually left my cardigan at their b&b and messaged Kate about this, she was so kind to send it to me free of charge and first class postage! I've stayed at many hotels but I have to say that both Kate and Nathan were the nicest and most accommodating hosts. If you're looking for a weekend away in Ashburton this is the place to stay.

We had a four night stay at Gages Mill the second week of August. It is set in a beautiful countryside location, so peaceful, yet convenient  for both coastal and Dartmoor visits. The B &B is perfect, the rooms have a real countryside feel to them and the absence of televisions in the guest rooms is truly in keeping with the ambience of the place. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and from our room we were able to view an array of birds feeding from the feeders in the garden. A good selection of breakfasts were available, all very well organised and excellent Covid precautions in place. Nathan and Kate were very helpful and have excellent local knowledge. I would highly recommend a stay here and would love to return at sometime in the future.

We stayed at Gages Mill for 3 nights in August. I was surprised how reasonable the price was in the summer holidays for such a beautiful place. The b&b is set in beautiful grounds, with stunning a stunning garden and views.

We stayed at Gages Mill last week for a week with our friends. The BB was in a lovely spot. Beautiful garden. The inside was spotlessly clean. Nathan Kate and their family were lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was very good. We all loved the fresh fruit salad every morning .  Tina & John.

We stayed at this beautiful B &B last week for 4 nights in a family room. The guesthouse was very clean and comfortable. The surroundings are peaceful. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, we are vegetarian, and we really enjoyed it. The owners have taken a responsible approach to Covid-19 prevention, we felt comfortable and well looked-after. It was easy to explore the surrounding areas and beaches. Thank you, we would happily stay again

Excellent stay

Lovely place with nice gardens.  Room was very nice and lovely extra touches - big soft towels, good selection of hot drinks and lots of hangers!  Bed was a bit too hard. 
Would have preferred a tv in the room but nobody else in the lounge when we were there, so we could watch what we wanted.
Kate and Nathan are very friendly.
Only down point was I don't really want breakfast at 8.30 when I am on holiday - a later option would be good.

Kate and Nathan were superb hosts. Friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. The room was clean and provided everything we needed for a couple of nights. The breakfast was very good and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We enjoyed a relaxing time at Gage's Mill B & B and would certainly return. Thank you both so very much.

A Great B & B

As boys with bikes we couldn't have asked for more. We were told we could store the bikes securely if required. Fantastic location with very easy access to main roads. Beautiful countryside with challenging terrain for cyclists. The breakfast was spot on, lots and lots of choice and the fact one could start the day with a large bowl of fresh fruit was a win! It is worth mentioning that COVID secure measures were appropriately enforced, a good thing obviously. COVID did not detract from our stay, we were perfectly happy and comfortable throughout. Thanks for having us!
