We had a Lodge on the newly developed area of the park, Ashbourne Heights ticked all the boxes for us. It is well located for the tissington trail, as we have bikes this was perfect and lots to explore. There is a pool onsite which you book your place with reception, this is to ensure safety as no lifeguard so this keeps a register of who’s in there. The staff are fantastic, very formative and helpful. There is a dog wash and bike wash also on site all included at no extra charge. The shop is basic but has essentials. Several pubs in the area, we tried a couple and both great. The Old Dog is home cooked food, which was lovely and the Bentley brook had a great carvery on Sunday. You can also get anything delivered to your lodge so we had organised a Sainsbury’s shop in advance … this really was very convenient. Overall ( I could keep going) they have it right what they do… if your looking for a peaceful place will lots on your doorstep this is the perfect place to be !
