La Fontana Italian Restaurant With Rooms

A lovely stay, we had a lovely welcome and a simple check in. The room was clean and breakfast was nice.

We only stayed for a couple of nights but we found Danni and her family very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean with everything you needed. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all very much and we will definitely return.

2nd time of staying for 1 night.    Can’t fault it.Will be staying again in January 2025.      It’s an excellent choice

Excellent stay for 1 night for a wedding in a nearby town.Room facilities and breakfast first class. Sadly restaurant for evening meal and bar were unavailable due to a family bereavement.

Anna was extremely accommodating with my early check-in, with good communication throughout. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely and quiet, had a great night’s sleep and topped off with a delicious breakfast. Would happily recommend La Fontana and look forward to staying again in the future.

Staff were great with nothing too much trouble. Quiet location

Just stayed one night to visit Blenheim Palace. The owners were very accommodating and gave us an earlier check in time due to our logistics on the day. Breakfast was great. Very friendly staff

Hotel was ok, italian restaurant was closed but not an issue.

Great stay here, Fantastic food love the food from this chef, he is a real chef with such flavoursome food 👌👌👌

The hotel was clean and staff friendly. Breakfast was tasty but not much choice. A selection of cereals and prepacked cakes etc. and waitress came and offered a full English. My friend had to ask for something different. No menu. Only white toast was brought and one pot of coffee. No-one came out of the kitchen again to see if we wanted more. It woud be nice for a little more service in the restaurant.  Food was well cooked.

Hidden gem

Lovely large room. Almost perfect apart from a couple of small problems. TV remote didn't fully work so made it difficult to change channels and the height and location of the plug sockets, all being low and behind furniture which made it difficult to plug in iron and phone charger. Food was excellent and served very quickly. Highly recommended

A surprisingly good hotel

We have driven past La Fontana many times so knew its location. I was looking for a place to stay at Witney but they were all expensive so I widened my search. I came upon La Fontana and the price was reasonable and included breakfast.My wife was delighted with our room and we enjoyed dining in the restaurant. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Anna and her staff were friendly, helpful and respectful. If I was in the area again I would certainly stay there again. The room was clean, well set up with every thing you could possibly need. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was well stocked, and the restaurant clean and well served, food was delicious!

We enjoyed our stay, albeit there was concern regarding room security. The key to the room was far from satisfactory. It didn’t always work and we needed assistance several times. On our last night, it wouldn’t lock and we ended up putting a large chair jammed up against it. Not sure how they got a certificate regarding safety!!!The room was comfortable but lacked up to date decor and the bathroom needed attention. In other words a refreshing update all round. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and yes, I would consider staying again if I was certain my few comments were addressed.

Room security

I thought they had put me in the wrong room; I had booked a standard one and this was like a suite. My brother, who also booked to stay the same night, had a smaller room, his though, had a T.V. that popped out of the bottom of the bed.Very clean and tidy, the staff were fantastic, were able to book in early and breakfast was filling. Would definitely go again.

First room we were allocated had a velux window in roof, as we were staying 6 nights we wanted a better outlook, the staff promptly moved us to an other room with a view 10/10. The 2nd room was very satisfactory and clean, however the shower required replacing as a previous customer broke the heating control. The trouser press was free standing as an other customer pulled it of the wall, wouldn’t take long to fix. This is constructive criticism, as I would definitely use the hotel again, however would stipulated a room with a view. If we were stayin for only 1 night it wouldn’t have bothered us that much.Breakfast nice variety of choices. The location of hotel was great for our purpose of visiting family in the area.
