The Season Airport Udonthani

Excellent value boutique style hotel... Not hard to find, good signing leading the way from the main road, friendly reception but only given option of a room on ground floor with a balcony to the road and parking facing a parking spot, which fortunately wasn't occupied, but it would otherwise have meant someone would literally park on your balcony. Room is very spacious and modern, but a bit tacky and slightly spartanic without managing director to be minimalistic in decor, budget definitely played a role, lowest quality generic soaps and shampoos, the towel rack kept falling down, not a good sign for such a new structure (finished in 2015), reception was very friendly, but sadly couldn't accommodate the request not to stay on the ground floor. Seems to cater mostly to Thai people. Location to airport is excellent, but it still requires a transport, so the benefit is modest, they offer complimentary airport transfers both ways, so the hassle is very small, despite their advertised 24hrs room-service on Agoda where I made my booking, they didn't have such a thing, also, there is absolutely no food anywhere nearby, the closest is 7/11 apr. 10 mins away, they have 2 bikecycles for guests, so make sure you get them, otherwise it's a solid walk... It has a good homey feel to it... Water pressure is good and the water heaters are new, so plenty of hot water in both the two shower heads, the waterfall vertical drop one and the traditional one... Mattresses are really comfortable, seems to be good quality, likewise with the blankets and towels... AC units are all new and working perfectly, but their quality is questionable (locally manufactured Saijo Denki's) so might have problems later on, or they might be an excellent choice if SD keeps their promises... Provided free airport transfer, free coffee, tea and snacks, 2 bikes are available for your guests so 7/11 and food options suddenly comes closer, lovely attentive owners, highly recommended...
