PTK Residence

Stayed here for a week, originally booked just a few days and extended because we liked it. Location is good: not too close to chewang busy strip to be noisy and not too far either. Easily walkable within a few minutes. Just across the main road to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. Plus facilities such as washing services and scooter/car hire. I have read in previous reviews that it is off the beaten track? I wouldn’t say that at all, it’s literally 3 streets away from the start of the bars and restaurants, but maybe a little further to the ‘ ‘party’ bars. Room: lovely spacious room, has huge bathroom and is super clean. Fridge, kettle etc and balcony which is nice. The cleaners are amazing, they’re super friendly and cleaned the room daily for us/topped up tea, coffee, water and toiletries. They also don’t ask to clean too early if you’re sleeping which is nice. Bed is comfortable and extra pillows etc provided. Aircon works really good. Staff: As I have said the cleaners are really nice. But also gardeners, security and reception staff were all friendly to us and super helpful. We booked a taxi at 4am to go to the airport through the hotel, not only was it early, he was ready and waiting at quarter too, they took our bags etc and wished us a safe trip, this was super nice of them considering the ungodly hour. Outside: pool is a cute little spot, very clean and clearly new. Car park is useful if you need it and secure as has security 24/7. Over all I couldn’t fault this hotel, especially for the incredibly cheap price we paid. If I had to be super picky I would say the gym needs to updated equipment, but still good to have the gym there and free use is awesome. It’s also not a social place if you’re travelling solo, but definitely worth the money if you fancy a little ‘budget luxury’ for a similar price to a hostel.
