Had an absolutely wonderful stay. We had a villa with a plunge pool right by the beach and it far exceeded our expectations. The staff were all lovely, from the desk staff, the restaurant servers and the groundskeepers. Everything was so well maintained. Breakfast was fine, always freak fruit, good coffee, omelette and eggs on demand, and other choices. The restaurant served good food and there are a good choice of restaurants close by, lots of options though limited if you were looking for non Thai food, but the Thai food was great. Yes you are off the beaten path a bit, but that was the point, this was a romantic getaway for the two of us and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The beach is cleaned everyday and we never had problems finding a chair in the shade, trees abound so it's also easy to find some shade away from the resort. We hope we can find a way to come back, it was that good. I have been coming through Thailand for 30 years, and for the price paid this was an incredible value for Koh Samui.
