Due to an unforeseen problem with a previous booking (at a different facility), I was upgraded to a villa at Baan Tropicana (thanks to the people who took care of this for me). As it turned out, this was a fortunate turn of events. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Tropicana. The villa was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Jon, the owner, was friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared that I had a pleasant stay. The staff were also friendly and very helpful. After a visit to Koh Phangan, I returned to the area but had booked a few days at a nearby "4 star" hotel. While this hotel was also very nice, quite frankly, I would have preferred my previous room at Tropicana.
