The views across the island from Amaresa are absolutely stunning. It is a 5 minute walk down to beaufiful leesa beach and a 10/15minute walk to haad rin beach, and they offer a free taxi service every two hours, but actually it's not too far to walk back at all, there is just one extremely steep bit of road to contend with. We were very lucky with our cabin, number 201 overlooking the sea and rocks,waking up to this for 4 days was incredible and we even had a monkey sitting on our balcony a couple of times. The fan was strong enough to keep us cool enough. Some spiders and bugs but that's to be expected staying in a place like this, The room was very basic and could do with a clean under the bed as there was a lot of dusts. The restaurant is very chilled out and the menu has been nicely designed,we had several nice fresh lemon and ginger juice drinks and mango&yoghurt smoothies. The food was OK, we ate at the hotel a couple of nights and for a couple of others ate at "the lighthouse". Special thank you to Hui the lady that seemed to work around the clock, who was so lovely and helped us with transfers. This is a really special place and we will remember staying here with nice memories.
