Mountain Kafka - Hostel

We had a small yet comfortable double room for two nights, the room is clean, hair dryer is available, TV with channels but I doubt you'd have the time to watch TV! The hostel is nearby the ever popular Feng Jia Night Market. Very convenient for you to walk.

Pros:
- Very good location (very near to the FengJia night market)
- Cozy
- Friendly staff

Cons:
- My room got a mattress on the floor which is unexpected for us
- The staff did not clean the room and changed our towel as promised
- Quite hard to locate the hostel, the check in process and location is actually in a coffee shop (same row)
- Poor facilities, no water dispenser

Though this hostel has lots of cons, but we would definitely come back again as this is just a hostel, we didn't expect it to be a hotel standard. Plus, it is really near to the night market!

Had booked a couple room & a family room. Rooms are clean with the necessary amenities. Just walking distance (5 mins) to the FengJia Night Market. 
The only con is that there is no lift & we had to carry our luggage up to our room in the third storey. Advisable to travel light. 
Will still stay here due to the location.

Very Near to Fengjia Night Market but Difficult to Locate

Very Good Location

Comfortable & excellent location!

Location is great if you like Fengjia Night Market. It is so near (just less than minute walk) and yet quiet. A lot of shop near by. It is near the Fengjia university, so at morning you can easily find food staff beside the street selling student breakfast. Finding the hostel would require a little bit of more attention on the map as it is hidden in a quiet alley corner. It is a hostel, so no lobby or counter service (so no luggage deposit) .
The check in time is a little bit not feasible, only after 4pm. And if you later than 10pm to check in, additional fee need to paid.
I personally do not like the check in process, the staff asking too many question and almost feel like trying to force me to add his contact in LINE.
The room design is not what i expected from the website (i think because i get the simplest theme room).The bed is a little too hard. The bath room design is not good, the shower head height that attached to the wall is not adjustable. Unless you are shorter than 5 feet, else you will need to hold the shower head with your hand or bend down to wash your hair.

Very near to Fengjia night market.

首先check in 的地方沒有寫上飯店的名字，我在小巷子來回走了幾次後，才確定check in的位置在咖啡店裡面。另外，最令人失望的是房間原來跟check in的咖啡店有一點距離 ... 我在訂房前特地用了google map來查看飯店跟逄甲商圈的距離，本來是真的很近的，但現在房間卻跟官方顯示的地址不同，要多走兩條路，早知這樣，就訂另一家飯店好了。房間是在另一頭的比較舊建築物，是民用住宅來的，沒有電梯。房間不大，空調還好，但隔音太差了，街上的車子的聲音很清楚，還有裝修的聲音。還有房間不乾淨，床上有虫子，第一個晚上手腳就出疹子了。

The reception for check-in is located inside a cafe which does not show the name of the hotel. What disappointed me the most was that the official address shown on the website is only for the reception.  The rooms are indeed located in another building which is two streets away from the reception. So i would not say this hotel is convenient as the exact location of those rooms are not that close to the night market. Generally, the room is quite okay if you just want a simple room with air-conditioner. The building is for local residence that some flats nearby are under renovation. You may be waken up by the noise at 9 or 10am.  Also the room is not clean enough. There are bugs on the bed. My legs and arms got skin rash right after the first night.
