We spent a night at the Boccalino and booked a family room. It was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Our children got a proper, solid bunk-bed - much better than the rickety "prison-style" bunks that you get in some hotels. It was the type of bunk bed that even adults could comfortably sleep in. The buffet breakfast was great and there was plenty of everything. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with our booking (the fault lay on the booking portal, not the Boccalino) and they sorted it out even when the booking portal didn't. We had a car and the drive into Lugano took less than 10 minutes. Overall a great place.
