80 reviewsIn June 2023 friends and I decided to visit Grindelwald and we reserved 3 double rooms at Hotel Alter Post. We were warmly received by the attentive staff in this traditional Swiss alpine hotel. The management had placed us in 3 neighboring rooms, each with a large balcony and magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The attractive rooms and beds were very comfortable and the baths impeccably clean. We started each day with a generous breakfast in a lovely dining room. Alter Post is perfectly positioned for roaming the incredibly beautiful Grindelwald countryside and we happily returned to our cosy hotel every afternoon. One of our guest fell ill and requested a single room, which was offered to her immediately with a small discount. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Hotel Alter Post and would like to thank Mrs Gruber and her staff for this wonderful experience. We will return one day for sure..

Before going to bed, you can walk around the main landmarks of the city. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Firstbahn Ski Lift, Pringsteggbahn Ski Lift and Männlichenbahn Ski Lift.
