An exceptional place for the price.
The hosting family is unbelievably friendly and helpful in any situations. 
Apart from that Tharu is a really , really good cook.
The place is located 2-3 mins walking distance from the best beach in Sri Lanka -  silent beach

We spent the whole 14 days in this cozy, quiet place. The very pleasant owners take care of you like family. If you want to start real Sri Lankan living and get to know the local culture, this is what you are looking for. The most beautiful beach is really close by walk! If you would like to visit city it's few minutes by bus.

Sea Breeze is the perfect location for Silent Beach. Only a 2 min walk away with the added bonus of staying with an honest, friendly family that made us feel at home. Simple, comfortable rooms with A/C and mosquito net, what more do you need. Tarro (sorry if I've spelt this wrong!) is the most welcoming to her home and the happiest person I've met. So warm and caring!
The guesthouse has a beautiful garden full of fruit and wildlife and also the restaurant is always open for delicious food. 
Tangalle is only 5min by tuk tuk for any shops or restaurants but Silent Beach also has some delicious restaurants and of course, you can eat at Sea Breeze! 
Very much enjoyed our stay here, I will miss it. 

I spent with Taru - owner of this place more than one week. She is so nice and helpfull with everything. She can cook everything what you want. You can do few steps and visit absolutly amazing beach in all sri lanka. I will come back for sure.

Lovely people, lovely place and lovely food. We had bbq fish with this amazing sauce. Totally recommend! Is close to Silent Beach which is also a great place to spend the day~ just beware of the mosquitos at the end of the day!

Amazing place to just come and relax. It's quiet, the beach less than 2 minutes away and amazing food here at the restaurant. This is a hidden gem. 

The hosts are very helpful and friendly. 

On the beach there are also other restaurants and shacks to relax at. 


Sea Breeze is a great place. It’s very clean and hosted by a beautiful family. It’s so close by the ‘Silent Beach’ Tharu (our host) makes amazing local food too, with different levels of spice as per our liking, so her local kitchen is a must try

Very nice place with quiet beach and a couple of restaurants nearby, run by lovely people. Rooms are basic but the price reflects this. Restaurant serves very nice authentic local cuisine. Beach did disappear at high tide but worth it for the solitude.

This is a secret gem! We stayed here for one night on our trip and wished it could have been longer.  Firstly the location is amazing- right beside the most stunning secluded beach which you can swim in and watch the sunset  - truly paradise it will take your breath away. Secondly the food .. we had fresh prawns and it was our best meal so far in Sri Lanka  and so reasonable!! The hosts are so friendly and you feel like family. Can’t wait to stay again ... amazing experience!

This place is a wonderful little retreat. Location wise it is off the beaten track however it suited us perfectly for the night we were there. The room was absolutely immaculate and the cleanest room we had in Sri Lanka. The family who run the rooms and restaurant can’t do enough for you and helped us with onward travel etc. The beach is stunning and well worth a visit. Only downside is once night falls there are no passing tuk tuks so you are pretty much out on a limb, no problem if you’re organised and get to town before the tuk tuks leave the beach for the day. The is so much stunning wild like also we saw monitor lizards, birds, snakes and more.

The food in the restaurant was also really good!

Our second home

Food was delicious! Taru, the hostess  does an excellent  job in preparing grilled/ curried  seafood and  vegetables . Her meals  are amongst the best "'sri lankan' type of meals I have eaten while in down south. She is flexible to prepare healthy versions of said cuisine. Great Service and the friendly demeanour of Her and her husband adds value to the experience at Sea Breeze Garden.

Easy access to one of the most picturesque beaches in Sri Lanka, called 'silent beach'.

Rooms are clean but could feel crampy, if one is used to larger rooms whilst on vacation .

Caring and Comfortable Stay

A great stay close to the sea. Unfortunately A very sloping beach of very soft coral sand which makes it difficult walking. Such a pity, but we really enjoyed our stay with this lovely family in their quiet garden rooms which were very comfortable. The food was also good and in smaller more sensible sized portions than in most places.

Wow a beautiful little retreat

what a lovely place..nice garden with squirells and birds, there are 3 simple rooms,each with little patio to sit outside. There is no a/c, fan only, but its sufficient. Large and comfy bed. Cold water only but you really, really dont want warm shower:).

There is also cosy restaurant in the garden,.bit hidden, but when you are in area, just stop by;). Food takes a little while to prepare, but thats cause its made totally out of scratch. Best prawns in Sri Lanka..lobster and calamari were fantastic, too.

The owners are very nice, lovely&helpful, always smiling and make you feel like you are at home:).

Also, this place is about 2min from absolutely stunning beach with lot of palms and only few people..

What a lovely place!;)

The beach is marvellous and almost remote. You have to walk down, turn left when you get to a fork to avoid getting into the 5-star hotel grounds. 
Just before reaching the beach itself you will pass Sea Breeze Garden *Guesthouse* and restaurant. They serve nice fresh food and cold beers. Recommended for seafood!
