Home Feel Home stay

We stayed there for 2 nights and we were invited by the owner’s family to celebrate their New Year’s Eve! We had fun and very tasty meal! His mom definitely is a great cook! We loved and after we had a night out with his friends. Next day my friend and I spent the day out but it’s always good to have a comfortable, clean and fresh place to stay! The rooms are big enough and toilets are so huge and clean with good hot water pressure! Great location and easy to find! 


Home Feel Guest House is the perfect balance between centrality & peace. It is close to the bus station & just 100m from the beach. It is close enough to restaurants but far enough to be quiet at night. The rooms are big & clean & the owners friendly & helpful.

This guesthouse was the last one of our stay in Sri Lanka. Later a month must to have crossed this magnificent island, we needed a saving rest. In brief by arriving, we were warmly welcomed by the family. The room(chamber), bright and the spacious bathroom, offered us what we needed, calms down him. The cooking (of mom) was particularly delicious, the dhal is to be damned. Slightly off-centered and in 2 minutes of the beach make of homefeel guesthouse an excellent address to Tangalle.

I stayed at this place around 7 days during no season so price was very low.  Place was all the time clean and very quiet. Owner was very willing and he even toke me to hospital and helped me a lot when I had accident. Room had everything what is necessary, nice and new bathroom, fan, moskitiery, etc. Beach is 5-7 min. by walk, town around 10 min by walk. I even returned to this place for my last day...

We stayed in Home Feel Guesthouse after a recommendation from another guesthouse that was fully booked. We arrived in the middle of the night and decided to continue our stay for the rest of our laid-back stay in Tangalle.

Home Feel lives up to it's name with a family atmosphere. The place is mostly managed by the oldest son Reshan and houses three generation of the family. Staying in Home Feel you're a five minute walk to the beach, the city center and the surrounding temples. During our week-long stay we enjoyed the food on multiple occasions with the grilled Tuna with chips and salad (1200 Srp/ 2 people) being the highlight. The rest of the menu is also affordable (Fried rice w. chicken for 300 Srp, Breakfast for 350 Srp) The rest of the days we just stayed in, enjoying a loud game of Carrom (the guys are really good), sipped on a beer and just chilled in the green garden.

The rooms are modest and the beds comfortable. We did experience some problem with mosquitos and trouble sleeping due to the hot weather but got an extra fan the following day. All the rooms also have an electric mosquito-repellent but I'm not sure how good they really are.

I will definitely come back next time in Tangalle and try out the grilled calamari that we recommended but didn't have the time to try out. All and all, Home Feel is a cheap and cosy place in a nice location with friendly staff.
