Stayed 1 night with my boyfriend on a recent stay to Sri Lanka. Had everything we needed: air con, mosquito nets, comfortable bed and free wifi. Only negatives: It was noisy as near the road and the room was dated, basic and could have been cleaner. However it was cheap so we weren't expecting a palace and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. The best things about this accommodation were the really friendly staff, the view of Sigiriya rock from the back yard and the delicious dinner! There is a wee restaurant in the yard and they served a Sri Lankan curry with lots of small dishes to try. We had asked if they had any beer and they made sure there was some in the fridge before we went to eat so that was another bonus. In the morning we woke early and went with the chef (Chris) and his son for a swim in a lake that was ~1km walk away. A good budget hotel and if you stay elsewhere then I would still recommend coming here for dinner!
