Me and my wife booked the Elite package for two nights' camping at Sinharaja and had an excellent time. Though on the pricey side, you get value for what you pay - a luxurious tent with carpeted floors, comfortable bed and attached bathroom (only thing missing was air conditioning, which was not essential as the weather was quite nice). There were 3-4 friendly staff taking care of our housekeeping, food and drinks, apart from dedicated naturalist, safari jeep with driver and forest tracker. We have never been to Sinharaja before, so it was a magical experience to spend two and a half days inside this amazing rainforest. Albeit, apart from amazing views and bird sightings, the hours long trekking did literally take our breaths away :-) One warning to would be travelers though is that the forest teems with leeches, especially during relatively wet months such as September. They do provide leech socks, which cover the leg up to knee level, but make sure you wear long pants or jeans, not to leave any gap exposed. Overall, would highly rate our experience and recommend to any nature lover who would want a bit of luxury mixed with the rugged outdoor experience.
