We had grilled items and it was mouthwatering. The best part was the mocktail (pornstar) . Mr . Kamalraj provided us the best service and we recommend for anyone to have at least one meal from here when you visit Nuwara eliye.

Firstly, I must say that the view is gorgeous. I’m also surprised to see the maintenance of the garden. It’s just phenomenal. Secondly, the service. I’m very satisfied with the staff. They were so kind. Last bust not least the cleanliness. It was superb. There wasn’t any dirt which is surprising. In addition, there was also a lot of historical things to observe. I feel like it was worth every rupee we spent on the hotel. Thanks to the staff. We enjoyed our stay. Hoping to come again soon.

It is an amazing place to stay. Very comfortable atmosphere, well maintained garden, beautifully arranged quiet rooms, tasty meals and very helpful staff. Decorated with so many Christmas decoration really like to visit again asap❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

As the name suggests, its nearly grand. Very beautiful hotel with lush green lawn and beautifully decorated gardens. Kids would love this hotel with kids zone, gardens with swings and newly added heated swimming pool (although the water was still cold for a swim). Good indian breakfast and good service.

Best hotel we’ve ever been to in Nuwaraeliya.

I got a mixed feeling about this hotel. Some of the staff are really good and some are terrible. The worst I've ever encountered as a local.

I checked in to the hotel at 2pm, but the room wasn't ready until 3pm and had to wait in the lobby without a WELCOME DRINK. That was the very first experience, driving for 6 hrs and the hotel doesn't bother to offer you a welcome drink. At 3pm went to the room yet it was cleaning.
Went to the tea lounge, waited there for almost 20 minutes for a waiter to bring the menu. But they didn't care for us while chatting with the foreigners. Ultimately I went for the counter and she gave me sigh like I asked her a favour. Nothing worked. Being fed up after waiting for more than half hour went outside to have a tea.
And again have you ever come across a cook in live station give you angry look when you ask for an omlet, luckily there was another kind person with same object.
Checked out exactly at 12, but my luggage was handed over at 12.30, even it's after my notice.

Overall I felt that this hotel doesn't treat good for ordinary people, but for celebrities and foreigners. I accept it was April season, but we pay big bucks expecting a good service. Pathetic experience. Never ever plan to return again or recommend to anyone. 
Anyway they do have the most beautiful garden. And foods are tasty. Reasonable room.

Not Grand at all

Disappointing! No welcome drink or anything on arrival. The place was jammed and lot of noise. There was a puddle of water on a sofa in the waiting area. Of course it has to be a busy season but it was clear the staff wasn’t efficient or trained enough to face the state of affairs. 

We began our stay with the lunch. There was a live band playing in the dining area, the music was loud enough not to hear ourselves. Wasn’t an atmosphere to have a peaceful meal. 

The rooms are very small and confined. They were not as per their pictures on the website. As a claustrophobic person I was very uncomfortable. 

We asked to have our dinner and breakfast in another area which was separated from the main dinning. And finally we were able to have a bit of peace and breath fresh air. 

The garden and the ground floor was architecturally English and beautiful. 

We have a habit of playing snooker whenever we get a chance or go to a hotel. I must say this was where we had the worst experience as the person there kept giving us “instructions” which wasn’t very necessary. It was like a “snooker class”. 

The pool and the pool surrounding was amazing! 

Make sure to book your stay off season or ask the hotel whether it’s packed. Otherwise it’s really hard to get that blissful vacation.
