The room is simple, a bed, a fan and a bathroom. It's all I needed. And it's right up against the water. They have a little deck right up on the water and at night it's a great place to sit for sunset or just to see the stars. The family is very sweet and helpful. I would recommend.

It’s a peaceful and very relaxing place. The rooms are very clean, the served food is fresh and excellent and Nehal and his family are helping with really everything. 

It’s perfect for going on one or two day trips to the rain forest Kannelyia or nearby tempels also. Pro tip: ask Nehal for the „rock temple“ near Hambantota - he will help you with a connection. this place you will never forget.

Just finished a three night stay at the Maya guest house,We had a really great time listening to the waves hit the rocks is very therapeutic,the breakfast is good and plentiful,We also had an evening meal of fish caught by the owner which was delicious.
The family who run the guesthouse are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you.
It’s about 1KM to the good beach At Mirissa where there’s plenty of good restaurants and bars.
A longtime guest Geeta from Belgium is mostly on hand to help out.Many fond memories of sitting outside drinking Arrac listening to good music with Geeta.

It was nice three days stating in nice resort direct access in private beach. Ovner arrange everything you want...if you want to avoid crowded noisy places, Maya resort is good choose for you.
They prepare also dinner, breakfast, lunch, aranbge tok tok , taxi service,
Goog acomodation, nice family, warmly recomended...

Because it's not on the main beach of mirissa, it's very calm and quiet. You can enjoy their private beach, although there's no turtle but still can see many fishes and crabs by snorkeling. Visibility was so-so but still enjoyable. If you like fishing, you can also do it on the beach deck. Owner family was very friendly and let us use their kitchen. We loved our stay. Recommend it.
