Deer Point Hotel

One of the best home stay that we stayed in Kandy, It's very neat and clean. Very well maintained. we have not expected like a star hotel, but its more than star hotel. Breakfast was very good and nice. Fresh juice, olmette, fruits like mango/pineapple and cereals wonderfull. Again wonderful dinner the day we visited on 22nd December 2018 night, but whatever was served was great and fresh. 

The place is very well maintained. Kumari madam and sir is super polite. The hotel room, Bed and hot water quality very good. Located at a peaceful location.

Next tour we will plan to visit the same hotel. Got photos with them with our son and us, and miss them much.

Nice welcoming place, very very friendly service, very clean, good food, quite comfortable. It's a budget hotel but a nice one! It's nice that this hotel is not in the busy centre of Kandy, but more in the lush, green country side. The road is a bit adventurous but it is only a short drive to the center of Kandy, which the hotel will be happy to take care of.
Home with the locals in a beautiful green environment. Off the beaten track. Nature is amazing, climb the rock for a beautiful view and ask for the home made curry. Breakfast with a view on the wooden balcony. Very relaxing atmosphere. You can hear the monks chant, the birds sing, and the monkeys calling out to each other. 
Kumari and Santa are so welcoming and are willing to help your every need. Ask them for any advise and they will go to great lengths to help you. We really enjoyed our stay with you!

We spent a few days at this hotel and we were particularly well received. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts generous and very good. The top was the evening meal, home-made curry was one of my best curry that I have the opportunity to taste in Sri Lanka.

Our driver brought us to here. We were kind of hesitate about this hotel at the first place cuz it took us about 20 minutes to find this hotel from the centre of Kandy. The road is really narrow and full of steep hills. However, the hotel looks pretty nice from the outside. There is a huge rock on the back side of the hotel. We climbed to the top of the rock and enjoyed the amazing sunset of Sri Lanka. Everything was just wonderful.

Let's talk about the hotel. The rooms.  I mean it is just a homestay, so you can't expect the rooms too much. They are just ok, not too good not too bad, nothing to talk about. The hotel restaurant owns a great mountain view. We ordered a tomato salad and a mixed fried rice. It took them about one hour to finish them. We already had some KFC so it was not so unacceptable for us to wait so long. The fried rice tastes really really nice. 

To sum up, the hotel is not that easy to find but the staff members are hospitality. The food is tasty. You can climb the rock to enjoy the sunset and visit some local families at the top of the rock.

Good Food, Good service, Hard to find

Family welcome

The location on map is misleading. Except for a guest, nobody spoke or understood English. The road leading to the bungalow is horrible, even dangerous in a tuk tuk. Didn't stay there and instead walked almost a kilometer to find a tuk tuk to get back to Kandy.
