I arrived feeling hot and bothered but within minutes has been settled down with a cold drink and welcoming chat! The host here did everything to make my stay comfortable, he gave me lots of tips for Kandy and my onward journey. The house itself was full of character and the morning monkeys were entertaining. It was just a short walk from the city centre, slightly uphill, but that made for better views and peace! While I was there we had a huge storm and a small leak in the dorm I was in, it didn't affect me, however the owner quickly moved me to a private room and insisted I stay there for the rest of my visit! How kind! (The leak was fixed the next day!) The kitchen and fridge were available to use, plus coffee and tea.
