Top notch for service and helpfulness. The owner took for good care of us and is a font of knowledge for activities and onwards travel to other locations. The room was perfect and we loved the balcony and the easy walk track to the beach. When staying here you must try their home cooked meals. Out of this world delicious lunches and dinners. My taste buds are still zinging!

We were travelling in a group of 4 students and spontaneously booked the Villa Nildiya in the surfer place Mirissa in the South of Sri Lanka. The place is a about two year old and very clean bungalow for 4 people including two rooms with two bath rooms, a small kitchen and living room. not directly located on the tourist beach of Mirissa, a 10 minutes walk on the beautiful more remote beach site down the road gets you to the more crowded spot of Mirissa.
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the whole family - Gamini, his wife and daughter cared for us and made us feel like family members. Gamini, the super friendly, reliable and always happy owner of the place, also gave us a small tour around when transferring to the airport and offered us a delicious lunch package and loads of other local food specialities. Also in Mirissa, he gave us helpful tips for our vacation. 
In total a really relaxing stay! Depending on personal preferences, you can also rent a room in Gamini's house; there he also offers rooms with aircon, as the appartment (Villa Nildiya) only has fans at the moment.
