Villa Nicomar

Our stay in Villa Nicomar was nothing less than perfect. After a late booking on my part, Wasantha hurried as much he could to make ut so that we could arrive that same day. He then picked us up at a restaurant and took us shopping. He even came inside with us, and helped us pick out good produce, since a lot of the vegetables, we didnt know what was. After a good night sleep in comfy bed, we woke up to see we had arrived in paradice. Surrounded by coconut trees, the Villa is totally private and a just few lazy steps away from the beautiful beach. The beach is pretty much a private beach. Only now and again, someone would walk by, but for the most part its just you and the wild dogs that are constantly working to establish their hierarchy. Nice entertainment if anything if you ask me. The garden is so wonderful to hang out in as well. There are hammocks that you can lay in and get some shade from those massive palm trees. Wasantha did so much to make our stay wonderful. He even cooked amazing seafood curries for us. And we got to observe and learn about Sri Lankan cooking. Very interesting, and the result was just mouthwatering good. We got to see harvesting of the coconuts, where a 60year old man climed to the top like it was as easy as having a cup of tea. So impressive! And we then got offered coconut after coconut :-) I could go on and on about Wasanthas hospitality, and his way to make you feel like the most important guest. He is simply a wonderful man and host. He also has a security guard/gardener that walks around the premises and help out wherever he can too :-) Thank you again Wasantha. For making this the best holiday me and my boyfriend ever had! All I can do now is live on the memories and belive that one day we will be back in paradice: Villa Nicomar.
