We booked an apartment from booking.com. Every step of the way Marianka was very helpful, from booking our transport, to showing us how to work everything in the villa. Would comfortable sleep 6 people, had a great BBQ area, safe and outside terrace. Great for family holidays. Would highly recommend everything. Even had someone who came round and sold fresh fruit, bread and water. 

Very nice stay in one of the houses in Bahia Meloneres. But, it has a worn down restaurant (closed and just left there) . Nice pool, nice area. Close to restaurant and a rocky beach. Nice place to stay!

Great accommodation 

Nice !

These Villa’s are in a very good location with a private complex available to guests. However, be very wary when booking as you may not get the apartment you booked on line.  We booked a 2 x bedroom villa with 1 x ensuite, I x twin room, a bathroom and a downstairs toilet which was advertised as Villa 96 and shown on the confirmation from Booking.com.  On arrival we were told that we had been allocated Villa 78 which was nothing like the one we booked with a shared bathroom a very small twin room and a downstairs toilet.  The General Manager was not helpful on arrival and we were advised by booking.com that we could have full refund if we wished to move.  This was not an option as there was nothing else available.  What happened in the next week was like faulty towers?  The downstairs toilet door lock was faulty and one of us was locked in the toilet.  The main front door also had a faulty lock and we were all locked in the apartment for around 4 hours until it was fixed.  If it has not been for Juan, the maintenance man, this would have been a lot longer.  We used the washing machine, which sounded like a helicopter taking off, to wash towels on day 4 and they came out covered in black grease.  We were given fresh towels by housekeeping the same day but what would have happened if we had washed our own clothes?

We claimed through booking.com for a refund, and accepted €105 but Villas Meloneras refused to compensate us for allocating a different Villa from the one we booked, inconvenience, days lost and stress during this period spoiled by a catalogue of disasters.  They did offer a discount on our next holiday though?  Villas Meloneras is owned by the Atlantic Side Group S.L (who took the monies from our credit card) which is not covered by S75 of the Consumer Credit Act.   So be very careful if you book with this company.

Disappointed

We were led to believe that the villas were 4/5 star but found they were only 2/3.  Although the villa was spacious and had plenty of facilities we found the furnishings a little “tired” and in need of an update.  My husband has a bad knee and we found the steps up to the second floor quite hazardous as there was no hand rail.  The WiFi was not working, the TV had only Spanish channels when we were informed there would be some English Skye / Freeview channels available.  The element in the oven was broken rendering it unusable.
The location was rather remote with a walk of around 20/30 minutes in any direction up and down hills to find a bar or supermarket.  However the local taxi service was very good and reasonably priced.

Having said this, the pool area was very good with plenty of sun beds and very clean.

Let Down

We travelled to Gran Canaria back in March this year. We were charged with a late booking charge of 50 euros which we new about but thought this was unfair as they know what time flights come into Gran Canaria from the UK. On arrival we thought we had booked a three bedroom Villa, but they only showed us 2 bedrooms. After checking we had paid for 3 but they said because we on were 2 couple we only had this 2 bedroom available. The pictures shown were of a far better quality Villa than the one we stayed in. We fort hard with the owners and booking.com and finally got the 3rd bedroom. My word to you is that make sure you check and cheack again before renting a villa in this area, we may have just been unlucky. We had a beautiful holiday the resort is lovely and Maspalomas is a great place to stay
